WiTech Batangas' commitment to bridging educational divides and championing gender inclusivity has laid a foundation for a more empowering future for underserved youth, particularly girls, in the fields of data analytics and STEAM. Take a look at our main events and projects below:

ASEAN Data Science Explorers Enablement Sessions

The ADSE Enablement Sessions are data analytics program aiming to provide ASEAN youth with essential skills for the modern era, focusing on data analytics, which are crucial for success in the digital economy and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The enablement sessions involve training on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Build Apps.

Bridge the GAP (Gender Advocacy Program): Girls in STEAM Education

A gender advocacy program aiming to narrow the gender gap in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). The program won 1st place at the 2021 YSEALI Summit Pitch Competition and consists of various interactive activities aimed at increasing interest in teens taught by female STEAM mentors.

The first workshop brought together girls and female professionals through a cross-collaboration campaign with Malaysia, Cambodia, and Laos. WiTech Batangas has held further installments in Laguna, Quezon City, and Rizal since.

WiCode for Kids

WiCode For Kids is a learning program to equip young elementary and high school students, regardless of their gender and social status, with the basic knowledge in programming. The sessions consist of bootcamps on basic coding with a hands on teacher all throughout the process.

The WiCode For Kids Project placed first in the YSEALI Futurepreneurs Virtual Pitching for Sustainability it was also one of the Top 10 in the Youth4South Entrepreneurship Competition organized by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation, making it the sole representative from Southeast Asia.

YOUnified Run: YSEALI 10th Anniversary

YOUnified is an annual community service initiative that celebrates YSEALI’s (Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative) 10th anniversary on December 3 and the power of YSEALI members to positively transform their communities across Southeast Asia. YOUnified combines the words YOUTH and UNIFIED to demonstrate YSEALI members’ ingenuity in developing solutions to local, national and regional challenges.

YOUnified Run 2023, was presented by the US Embassy in Manila and YSEALI South Luzon Hub, in collaboration with WiTech Batangas, SN Athletic Programs, and Varacco Coffee.

Women in Tech Talks (WiTalks)

WiTalks is a series of talks featuring women's significant contributions in achieving the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Three successful Filipina were invited for the first episode focusing on SDG 5: Gender Equality and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. The second episode featured four successful women within the STEM industry focusing on SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 5: Gender Equality.
