BOSTON, MA - The Wentworth Institute of Technology Club Hockey program is proud to announce its schedule for the upcoming 2025–26 season. The Leopards will play a balanced slate of 17 regular-season contests, featuring 9 home games and 8 away matchups over the course of six months.
The Leopards enter the season looking to build upon last year’s success, when they skated to an impressive 15-4-1 record in a 20-game campaign. That effort earned Wentworth a No. 17 national ranking, just outside the Top 16 cutoff, and the team is motivated to break through that barrier this year.
In addition to the regular season, the NECHA Colonial Conference has announced postseason dates. The quarterfinal round will take place the weekend of February 21, 2026, with the semifinals and championship set for the following weekend (February 28, 2026) in Keene, NH. The Leopards will look to make a strong playoff push and contend for conference hardware.
Wentworth fans can look forward to an exciting home slate at Murphy Memorial Arena. Away arenas will be announced the day of the game.
BOSTON, MA - As the Wentworth Club Hockey community bids farewell to the outgoing executive board, a new group of dedicated leaders is stepping up to take the reins. With a mix of experience, enthusiasm, and fresh perspectives, the newly elected board is ready to guide the team into another exciting season.
Pete Carriuolo has been elected as the new President of the Club, bringing with him two years of leadership experience as Vice President. Over that time, Pete played a pivotal role in bridging communication between the team and Club Directors, ensuring a strong connection between players and administration. His strengths lie in his leadership, willingness to learn, and strong presence on and off the ice — a quality further demonstrated by his role as Assistant Captain. Pete is entering his senior year at Wentworth, studying Cybersecurity.
Rylan Tellier, formerly the Club’s Social Media Manager, will be stepping into a larger leadership role on the board. Over the past year, Rylan successfully expanded the Club's digital presence across multiple platforms and managed public relations efforts with a sharp and professional voice. Known for his effective communication and adaptability, Rylan brings energy and focus to the board as he enters his junior year in Construction Management.
Declan Kelly is the newest addition to the executive team, taking on the role of Treasurer. A junior studying Mechanical Engineering, Declan will be responsible for overseeing the Club’s finances and assisting with strategic decision-making. His calm and composed demeanor has made him a dependable teammate, and the Club is confident in his ability to bring that same mindset to his new leadership role. Declan is looking forward to this upcoming year as a junior in Mechanical Engineering.
The Club will be announcing the new Secretary and Safety Officer positions shortly.
With strong leadership in place and continued passion from its members, Wentworth Club Hockey looks forward to building on past successes and reaching new heights in the year ahead.
BOSTON, MA - The Wentworth Institute of Technology Club Hockey Team had a historic night at the Annual Club Sports Awards Night, bringing home multiple prestigious honors. In an event organized by Wentworth Club Sports Director Michael Williams and Assistant Director Julianna King, the Leopards celebrated an unforgettable evening of recognition and achievement.
One of the night's biggest accolades went to team Captain and President CJ Botelho, who was named Club Sports Athlete of the Year. Known for his relentless determination, sheer will to win, and undeniable skill and passion, Botelho has been the heart and soul of the team. His leadership both on and off the ice propelled the team forward, making him a deserving recipient of this top honor.
Assistant Captain and Vice President Peter Carriuolo was awarded the Unsung Hero Award, an honor given to an athlete who leads by example rather than words. Carriuolo’s steady presence, skillset, and ability to contribute in crucial moments have made him a key component of the team's success. His efforts often go unnoticed in the spotlight, but his impact is undeniable.
Assistant Captain and Treasurer Nathan Johnson took home the Good Sport Award, recognizing his leadership, sportsmanship, and dedication to team success. Johnson’s commitment to both guiding his team to victory and fostering a supportive environment for his teammates has been instrumental in making this season one of the most successful in club history.
Meanwhile, Social Media Manager and goaltender Rylan Tellier was named Most Improved Player. Stepping up in a significant way after the team’s starting goaltender graduated, Tellier earned 13 wins this season, proving himself as a reliable force between the pipes. His hard work and dedication to improving his game paid off in a big way.
Beyond individual honors, the team as a whole was recognized with the Club Sport of the Year Award. This prestigious distinction is awarded to the club that best exemplifies the Club Sports Mission—showcasing success, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. This marks the second time in program history that Wentworth Club Hockey has received this honor, reinforcing the team’s growing legacy within the school’s athletic community.
Each of the players honored at the ceremony shares a common trait: an unwavering desire to succeed. While they each bring unique skills and leadership styles to the team, their ability to work together has driven the Leopards to new heights.
