We in Space places a large emphasis on aerospace-focused STEM outreach, not only for K-12 but also college, technical schools, and beyond. Girls Inc. PNW, Eureka! Workshops: May, 2021
We in Space, with Portland State Aerospace Society, led a series of three workshops for Girls Inc. PNW, Eureka! high school students.
With a similar format to our STEMapalooza events, we presented an introduction to the aerospace industry followed by a panel of college students.
Starting with a presentation on rockets and model rocketry, we led the students in the first half of an Estes model rocket build.
Starting with a presentation on CubeSats and OreSat, we led the students in the final steps of building their model rockets.
Aerospace Career Day Panels: December 11, 2020
Previously known as PSU Women in Aerospace, we partnered with Viking Mars Mission to hold a series of four panels aimed at Oregon high school students to show various careers in the aerospace industry. All were welcome to attend as they were live-streamed on YouTube. We had 271 registrants with the following demographics:

STEMapalooza: November 14, 2020 and February 20, 2021
Previously known as PSU Women in Aerospace, we presented at the Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington STEMapalooza. We had a short presentation about the aerospace industry followed by a panel of college and high school students. We then had a similar presentation and panel for the Girl Scouts of Alaska STEMapalooza event.
