We collect the minimum data necessary to provide our services:
Account Information: If you sign up via email, we collect your email and password. If you sign up via Google, we collect your Google email and publicly available profile name/photo.
Profile Details: Your username, display name, and date of birth (to show friends / send reminders).
User Content: Wishlist items, titles, descriptions, and URLs you provide.
Social Connections: Your list of friend requests (sent/received) and confirmed friends.
Device Information: Basic device data (OS version, device model) for crash reporting and app functionality.
One of the core features of Wishelf is fetching images from links you provide.
When you paste a wish link, our system accesses that public URL to scrape the title and main image representing your wish.
We do not store the full content of these external websites, only the metadata (image/title) required to display your wish item.
Wishelf is designed for close circles of friends. We do not sell your personal data. Here is who sees what:
Birthdays: Visible only to confirmed friends on your friends list.
Wishlists: Visible to confirmed friends.
Reservations: When you reserve a gift, that status is visible to the owner's other friends (to prevent duplicates), but hidden from the owner (to keep the surprise).
Third-Party Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the app (e.g., Google for authentication, Supabase for hosting data). These partners have access to data only as needed to perform their functions and must process it in accordance with this policy.
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You have the option to delete your data.
In-App Deletion: You can delete your account immediately via the Settings menu within the app. This action permanently removes your profile, friends list, and wishes.
Manual Request: You may also contact us at wishelf.contact@proton.me to request data deletion.
Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

By accessing and using Wishelf, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.
Wishelf is a social wishlist and reservation platform. It allows users to organize lists and coordinate gifts with friends.
User Responsibility: You are responsible for the links and content you add to your list.
Link Fetching: Wishelf automatically fetches images and titles from third-party URLs provided by users. Wishelf does not claim ownership of these external images or trademarks. They are displayed solely for the purpose of identifying the wish item.
No Affiliation: Wishelf is not a retailer and is not affiliated with the e-commerce stores linked by users. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, availability, or pricing of items listed on third-party websites.
You agree not to use the service to:
Post content that is illegal, offensive, or violates the rights of others.
Harass or "cyber-stalk" other users.
Attempt to access accounts that do not belong to you.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these terms.
Wishelf is provided "as is" and "as available". We are not liable for any failed gift deliveries, out-of-stock items, or ruined surprises due to software errors, server downtime, or synchronization issues.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wishelf shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service.
