Mission: EmpowerKids aims to empower underprivileged children to become advocates for health equity and mental well-being through storytelling, creative writing, and community engagement. We offer summer programs and classes for preschool to 5th graders.
Goals & Results : Our goal is to inspire creativity and advocacy in young minds. Children create storybooks and artwork that are presented at our symposium. If they choose, their work can be displayed at the local library or arts council.
We offer comprehensive lesson plans that include:
Storytelling Workshops: Encouraging kids to express their thoughts on health equity through stories.
Creative Writing Classes: Helping children craft compelling narratives.
Art Sessions: Using art as a medium to discuss and promote mental well-being. Community
Engagement Activities: Teaching children how to engage with their community on health issues.
At just $250 per week, EmpowerKids offers an affordable and valuable summer program that significantly undercuts many other options. This fee covers all materials, workshops, and activities, ensuring that children receive holistic development through storytelling, creative writing, and art, while focusing on health equity and mental well-being. Our experienced instructors provide personalized attention, fostering critical thinking and communication skills. EmpowerKids not only enriches children’s summer but also empowers them to become advocates for their community, making it an excellent investment in their future.
Monday to Thursday: 9 AM - 4 PM
Saturday: Symposium Students complete their projects during camp hours, ready to present at the symposium on Saturday.

Symposium: Our symposium is a platform for students to showcase their work. It includes:
Presentations: Students present their storybooks and artwork.
Community Viewing: Families and community members can view and celebrate the children’s achievements.
Exhibition Options: Students have the option to display their work at the local library or arts council for broader community engagement.
