The Intermediate program focuses on teaching students more advanced topics in science, such as the use of the scientific method, experimental design, and data analysis. Students will come up with their project after conducting preliminary research online, create their unique procedure, test the experiment, analyze the data, and create both a poster and a simple research paper. Students will then present their findings in the Wistrom Junior Science Symposium. This program focuses heavily on preparing students to conduct their own, first author research and compete in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovator Challenge.
