Wiser AI Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Wiser AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with your use of the Wiser AI mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
Wiser AI collects very limited personal data directly. Most processing occurs on your device or via anonymous interactions.
a. Information You Provide Directly:
Child's Age (Child Mode): In Child Mode, we ask for an age (minimum 10 years old) to tailor content. This age is stored locally on your device using shared_preferences and is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party.
Chatbot Interactions: When you use the chatbot features in either Normal or Child Mode, your text inputs and the AI's responses are processed. These interactions are:
Sent to a third-party AI service provider (Google AI).
Are typically processed in an anonymized or pseudonymized manner by the AI service provider unless specific user identification is enabled (which Wiser AI currently avoids).
Not stored by Wiser AI on its own servers in a way that is linked to your identity.
Project Names (Chat History): If you create and name projects or conversations, these names are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
b. Automatically Collected Information (Non-Personal):
Usage Data: We may collect non-identifiable usage statistics (e.g., feature usage frequency, time spent in app) to improve the app. This data is aggregated and anonymized and does not identify individual users.
Device Information: We may collect general, non-identifiable device information (e.g., device model, operating system version) for debugging and performance analysis. This is not linked to your personal identity.
In-App Purchases (IAP): We use Apple's (or Google's) in-app purchase system. Wiser AI receives transaction receipts from Apple (or Google) to verify your subscription status. We store your subscription status (e.g., "premium," "not premium," subscription expiry date) locally on your device and may verify it with a backend service to ensure premium feature access across devices or reinstalls, but this status is not tied to personal identifiers beyond what the App Store provides.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
To Provide App Functionality: To enable the features of the App, including AI chatbot interactions, roadmap generation, mind map visualization, IQ testing, book summarization, and story creation.
To Personalize Child Mode: The locally stored age helps us ensure age-appropriate content generation within Child Mode.
To Manage Subscriptions: To verify and manage your premium access purchased via In-App Purchases.
To Improve the App: To understand app usage patterns (through aggregated, anonymized data) and enhance features, performance, and user experience.
For Security and Debugging: To identify and fix technical issues and protect the integrity of the App.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
Third-Party AI Service Providers: Your chatbot inputs are sent to third-party AI providers (Google Cloud AI) to generate responses. These providers operate under their own privacy policies. We make efforts to use providers that prioritize data privacy and offer anonymized processing where possible.
Payment Processors: In-App Purchases are processed by Apple App Store (or Google Play Store). We do not directly collect or store your payment information.
Aggregated or Anonymized Data: We may share aggregated or anonymized data (which cannot be used to identify you) with third parties for analytics, research, or marketing purposes.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency).
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Children's Privacy
Wiser AI includes a "Child Mode." While this mode is designed for users aged 10 and above, we are committed to protecting the privacy of children.
The age collected in Child Mode is stored locally on the device and is not transmitted to our servers.
We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

6. Your Choices and Rights
Accessing/Deleting Local Data: Since most personal data (like age, project names) is stored locally on your device, deleting the app will generally remove this data. You can also typically clear app data through your device's settings.
Subscription Management: You can manage or cancel your subscriptions through your Apple App Store (or Google Play Store) account settings.
