Đây là một trong những chủ đề quen thuộc nhưng cũng dễ khiến thí sinh lúng túng nếu không có ý tưởng rõ ràng. Trong bài viết này, WISE English sẽ tổng hợp các câu hỏi thường gặp trong IELTS Speaking topic learning English, gợi ý cách triển khai ý tưởng mạch lạc, cùng bài mẫu band cao để bạn luyện tập và nâng cao khả năng phản xạ khi nói.
1. What do you find most difficult about learning English?
For me, mastering pronunciation and intonation has been the most difficult part. English is full of silent letters and irregular stress patterns, which often make it hard to sound natural. I’ve been trying to improve by mimicking native speakers and practicing with listening apps, but it’s still a work in progress.
2. What do you do to improve your English?
I try to immerse myself in the language as much as possible. I read English books, watch movies without subtitles, and speak with native speakers whenever I get the chance. I also use vocabulary apps and write short essays to improve my writing skills. It’s all about consistency, I think.
3. Do you think English will be useful for your future?
Absolutely. English is widely regarded as a global language, and it’s essential in many fields like business, technology, and education. I plan to work in an international environment, so having strong English skills will definitely give me a competitive edge and open more career opportunities.
4. What do you find difficult about learning something new?
Sometimes, staying motivated can be challenging, especially if the subject feels overwhelming. For example, when I started learning coding, I struggled with complex concepts at first, but breaking them into smaller parts and practicing regularly helped me overcome those difficulties.
5. Do you prefer learning alone or with others?
I usually prefer learning alone because it allows me to focus better and go at my own pace. However, for skills like speaking a new language, I enjoy group classes since practicing with others makes it more interactive and fun.
6. What kind of learner are you?
I’d say I’m a visual learner. I find it easier to understand things when I see diagrams, videos, or charts. For instance, when I was studying biology, colorful infographics helped me memorize concepts much faster.
Personalize your answers: Always include a specific example or story from your life to make your response authentic and engaging. Ví dụ: Thay vì nói “I like learning,” hãy nói “I recently learned to bake cakes, and it was so satisfying.”
Use linking words: Các từ như “for example,” “because,” “however,” hoặc “on the other hand” giúp câu trả lời mạch lạc hơn.
Show a range of vocabulary: Thay vì lặp lại “learn,” hãy dùng các từ/cụm như “pick up,” “acquire,” “grasp,” “master,” hoặc “broaden my knowledge.”
Balance positive and negative ideas: Nếu câu hỏi hỏi về khó khăn (như câu 5), hãy đề cập đến khó khăn nhưng kết thúc bằng cách bạn vượt qua nó.
Practice fluency: Trả lời trong 2-3 câu, không quá dài, nhưng đủ để thể hiện khả năng ngôn ngữ.
