Please reach out with any and all concerns. If it has a post with my signature, I stand behind that statement as gospel, and that is a "swear to God, right hand on the bible thing" brothers and sisters.

Brother Rob "Fightin' Bob" Slamka

June 21st 2018 Tonight I am writing in recognition of an old friend who graciously accepted my help and encouragement, when few others could make themselves available. Seems like many years ago, we were both employees of Robert's Roofing, when John Wisniewski and I were architectural sheet metal journeymen working out of a shop on Lydell in Glendale. I admired the shop that John kept and the product he put out the door. Accurate, detailed sheet metal which I installed in the field. We were both very different individuals, but I believe we had a similar level of respect for each other. As so often in life we move in and out of the same spaces , and so periodically I would see John working in the field. As he was a shop mechanic, it wasn't very frequently however.

This last Christmas season I received a call from Mike Krebsbach, a friend of John through his association as a business representative. Mike had talked every so often about a time when he understood John had a special need which had Mike going against Earl Phillip's advice and going the extra mile for a brother. John was sick and in the hospital, needing his tools recovered from a jobsite, Mike graciously went above and beyond.' driving to the site, gathering his tools out of a gang box and taking them to his home. This has always been my experience with Mike Krebsbach. I did not know Mike until I went out to lunch with him the Thursday after he defeated me and six other candidates for the Milwaukee Business Representative spot, vacated by Mike Mooney. Knowing what I do today, I believe Mike drew the short straw in winning. Earl treated him with contempt because he wasn't Donny Athas, and Patrick Landgraf was pure evil to him (as many of you have witnessed with me) Thank God I did not win that election(for Landgraf). Back to John and Christmas.

I got on facebook and put in a friend request when I heard Johnny was going through some hard times. Having been there myself, i understood. John had been without work and was located in a remote town about 30 miles South and slightly West of LaCrosse on the Wisconsin River. When I reads his post just before Christmas, John's despair had turned to hope.. he had been told his salvation awaited him in Stevens Point. A job with General Mechanical out of Madison was starting and Mike Polster was recruiting new hires at a hotel in Plover on the Tuesday following Christmas.. Johnny was ecstatic, he had waited so long. Joy turned to despair as rapidly as it had reverse the week earlier when he posted something had gone horribly wrong. The job vanished and John was stranded without work, a rent payment in DeSoto and no vehicle to get the 2.5 hours home. I had been in touch with John, and quickly offered him a ride home, I said I would be there in the morning.

I drove up on the home he had arranged with a friend to stay at , was introduced to the kind sole who put John up, said our goodbyes loaded the car and departed. We drove the long back road home and got re-acquainted, It had been a very long time and much was said. How he came to need a ride home was both personal and private, but I quickly understood John had experienced something I was all too familiar with. Johnny had been "black-listed' and was living with the same torment I was familiar with.

John had been trying to get employment through Craig Wagner as this was Craig's area. John was often told that as work would become available he would be contacted and assigned. This went on for what surely seemed like weeks into months. Eventually, after Craig stopped returning empty promises and replaced them with voice mail, John's patience finally gave out. In a self described violent blast of emotion, Johnny let Craig have it without filter..it was made clear that Johnny had enough... then, incredibly his fortune changed .. the call from Mike Polster. The connection had to come from Craig Wagner, there was no other way for Polster to know John's number. Craig finally came through?

John made arrangements, got into Stevens Point with a gracious ride from a local in DeSoto, and readied himself for work that Tuesday. John arrived at the hotel tools in hand, hard hat ready, met Polster and filled out paperwork. After the paperwork, John was driven into Plover by the safety director from General and delivered to a drug screening facility. Several hours later John returned to Polster to be told the job was no longer available.. Not that he failed a drug screen, but that the work had evaporated, he was instructed to check back with Polster in three weeks. John put two and two together and presumed that the real reason was a "bad result"' but that is not what he was told.

So I am driving him back thinking what a "jerk around", hell, I had seven hours in driving coming up from Madison and circling through DeSoto. Where was John's show up pay? John asked me not to press the issue as he was willing to suggest that a fail was likely his fault and although he was not told he would be screened , he could see how it was enough his fault to forget about it.

I couldn't , because I knew John had been Jerked around by Polster , as had I, and there was NO way Craig Wagner hadn't arranged the whole thing out of spite. Craig couldn't muster up decency if he found it on the ground in a bag marked "decency". So I fired off a text to Mike Polster asking him for Johnny's SHOW UP PAY.. Polster responded " I can put it on his first check if he can pass a drug test and I can hire him".. To wit I responded," if you knew he failed a screening, why did you lie to him about the job situation".. Polster responded "John took a ten panel drug screening and failed for two drugs".. I was quite certain this was Too Much Information for the Privacy Statutes and it implicated Wagner.

So here you have it , COLLUSION.. Craig Wagner and Mike Polster, Mike Polster and Scott Bartz.. Open-Solicitation violations, RTW violations, Privacy Act Violations.. the tip of the iceberg.

Times are however looking better for both John and I, maybe the fortune of the business reps also.. please follow this site.

So you all must be aware by now, I was a sheet metal worker not a publicist. You can go through 32 years and not make a career out of it, especially if you start out young and naive. Most of us started out that way . First it was a job, then maybe a career, but all to often in was somewhat "weather dependant" you would work when there was work and you didnt when there wasn't but it was what it was. Nobody had any control over that right?

That is the way I felt for a very long time until i realized at a union meeting that the Organization had much to say about who worked where, who worked when, or if at all. We were told we have "Open Solicitation" but you likely didn't know that that policy no longer required that the union had an obligation to hire off of the out of work list. Actually, no such requirement exists in"Open Solicitation" The real problem is that it is supposed to be either O.S. or "Exclusive Hiring Hall" as it once was. You would sit around waiting for a call and unless you had other employment you would spend your unemployment on health insurance instead of mortgage or groceries. This union practices all kinds of unethical tactics to keep membership numbers up. Remember Landgraf stating his goal was 600 new members?.. "if you know anyone interested in becoming union have them call Josh Garner" . By now you should have read about the seven members "stripped" from non union shops using your "valuable" health insurance trust. The Employee Benefit Services Administration knows.

Any way, the real reason I am keeping you up is that Mike Krebsbach is running for business agent in the Milwaukee Area. Mike was the agent prior to Patrick Landgraf forcing him to resign just prior to the last election. Mike did nothing wrong..he was just too honest for Landgraf..they couldn't risk having someone with moral values in their inner circle. The union still can't Mike Mooney has made the decision to keep Donny.( even if he is an incompetent boob). Better than having someone come in and expect oversight. Tim Mumme is running against Dan Wippich in the Fox Valley.. Dan is just an extension of Nick Liesch, those who liked Nick love Dan. You know i approve of both of these honorable men. I hope when they fail to get elected it will not be me blamed, but Landgraf for rigging another one. Would someone please ask him who the tellers and Chief Judge are? He wont know what to say.. "they are appointed on the day of the election" is what he told me a week before the 2015 election. The DOL investigation stated that Mike Mooney ran the last one.. What is to keep him from doing it again.

Every single agent or officer of this local will find themselves in jeopardy for the misdeeds they participated in with Patrick Landgraf. Robert's Roofing, Applied Mechanical, Zien Services , Val Fab, Bert Jensen , Paul Van Zeeland, August Winters, Marinette Marine... all of these contractors have been violated in one fashion or another by Local 18.. watch and see. and remember on June 25th you get the representation you deserve with your vote.. consider that . I understand the union had a talk with the Supervisor at JM Brennan..they are now endorsing Don Athas. Shame what they Athas, Wilson and Froehner did to Ryan Bartell in the Hall vestibule.

Rob

Here it is folks. I have been quiet for about a week or so, for good cause. A brother from New Jersey put out a call for help on the SMART facebook site. Gary McAneny out of South East New Jersey, an apprentice tinner from Local 19, was in distress and got the attention of a brother from Local 28. That brother was a rallying point for Wisconsin Labor Heroes earlier in the year when his local 28 put him up on charges. We will keep his identity a secret for now as he is remotely involved in Gary's rescue. My New York Local Labor Hero called me knowing damn well that I would do whatever was necessary for a brother or sister in need. Here is Gary McAneny's story.

Gary was working for Multi Temp Mechanical of Westville N.J. for about eight (8) years prior to the Local 19 capitalizing on the fact that Multi Temp Mechanical had union Steamfitters, and managed to organize the shop. Gary with his eight years of experience was brought in as a First Year Apprentice Residential.. pretty "whaleshit" ( That is where I started as an apprentice after nine (9) months as a pre-apprentice) when he told me that he was then placed as a repeat year commercial apprentice, I was in disbelief.. such disrespect for a working man. Around the time Gary got into his second year, Multi Temp Mechanical had enough of being sent the bottom of the bench and exited its CBA. It is real common in Wisconsin for the Local (18) to sign Non Union contractors to drive them under and steal their desirable workforce.(yes kids, their are some well qualified,"non- union" trained workers, and believe it or not, they are human beings also.. many with families and obligation.)

With Gary, his union problems started with Gary Masino, the Business Manager /President of Philadelphia's Local 19. This is the home local of the General President Joseph Sellers Jr. Gary Masino is Joe Sellers' right hand thug. I have yet to get Sellers to do his "Duty to Supervise", very poor leadership indeed.

Gary Masino had lost Multi Temp Mechanical to his lame ass- response to organizing without follow through, or perhaps he plotted to destroy them through the placement of individuals like Jeremy Barrons to undermine them. Jeremy Barrons is a spy and a rat, with a rich history of criminal activity and "ratting out brothers to save his own hide," a valuable asset to have one of these sub-humans in your arsenal. Been Verified has Barrons with 22 civil and criminal charges.. enough for long sentences, and yet, he seems to have a "silver spoon " guardian angel. The union sought $350,000 in a lawsuit, but soon realized that they would need cooperation from former employees to frame Multi Temp Mechanical for violating a CBA they were no longer bound by. Gary Mcaneny was working for another contractor for almost two years when Masino , with the help of his little rat buddy Jeremy, got Luke Gordon a young business representative to bring charges on both Gary and Joe Forgrove. Although no evidence besides hearsay from the" Rat" existed, because neither would cooperate, they were both expelled and fined $50,000 apiece. More violations of due process by Masino than I can count on one hand existed, but the union doubled down. It seems this is what they do. I won't stop til they are "found"

I have lent myself full time to the cause. Both Gary and Joe are MEN OF HONOR. Gary is Wisconsin Labor Heroes newest member. A jacket is on the way. WE have new member Wisconsin Labor Heroes, "ICEMAN". I know Good , I know Evil.. both Gary and Joe are real.. watch what happens next

Ok everyone, this is the response to the letter sent to Joseph Sellers Jr by Walter Stern, my attorney. Walter made it crystal clear that the trial and the procedure skipped by Patrick C,Landgraf in his haste to expel me were qualification for annulment of the charges and absolute restoration of privilege to include membership and the right to run as a candidate against Mike Mooney. As you may or not know, the fact the Mike Mooney is running opposed results in him walking into the position not unlike Patrick Landgraf did 10 years ago. Joseph Seller continues to ignore counsel and refuses to DO HIS DUTY OF SUPERVISION as stated in Article 3 Sec @a

This early a.m I am recognizing the heroes in my life, starting with the two most important ones.

It is 3:20 a.m. CST and I can't sleep. Yesterday morning I had an argument with the most significant person in my life. Patti Jahnke, the woman whom I desperately love for contributing more to my life and my movement than any living human was having a frustrating morning. Likely on the road, going to a job she keeps only because my "lifestyle" of fighting every cause, and freeing every "cat caught up in a tree", is not financially supportive. She did not appear to be happy with me being away "plying my new trade" while she was at home "making the money , keeping the lights on". The grass may have been a bit long as well. I was frustrated because I was angry over the previous nights nominations in Local 18. Mike Krebsbach was the only Labor Hero that i know of) nominated to the balloting in an election which, ( I could not participate in due to Joseph Sellers Jr. failing in his duty to supervise local 18) I had petitioned hard to get members to nominate other heroes and take back this local. My Heroes appeared to have cowered possibly and now I have only Mike and myself (and my Super- Hero Walter, our counsel) to complete the task. Updater. No confirmation, but anther may have been nominated in the Fox Valley. Slow to report.

Regardless, we both appeared to be somewhat angered at the world for our fates. Pretty certain I am over it., I hope she is. She liked the flowers

Patti has been my "Rock", (sometimes a bit rocky) , since March 3rd, 2013. so I guess my lucky numbers are 332013'

I should have given her a ring and formalized our connection about three years ago, when I was convinced she (along with our best bud Brody, our Golden Retriever) had saved me. Since then, through the cold, cruel, evil heart of Patrick C. Landgraf (Local 18 business Manager), I have often, only been capable of rubbing nickels together. Patti has faithfully, and sometimes with tremendous reservation, carried me through those dark days. She believed in me when others told her not to, when the heat was way too hot in the kitchen, and when it appeared no matter what i did, I could not win for losing.

Labor Heroes and fans, YOU ALL owe a debt of gratitude to the "FIrst Lady of The Wisconsin Labor Heroes". Lord knows I always will!

I understand, as do the corrupt "villainous dogs" who feed on your fear, that holding a family together takes precedence over causes. Certainly, it is huge nowadays to ask someone to "cross the street to pee on you if you are on fire". The Union knows that you have this tremendous burden, and that, although your sympathies lie with the oppressed, your actions must often be governed by the realities of survival. Those corrupted by greed and power write books to celebrate their mastery of domination. I ask you Brothers and Sisters to take the three hours it took me to donate double platelets two weeks ago, to sit through 'Braveheart" starring Mel Gibson, and celebrate a proud countryman who would not compromise his principles for convenience, nor comfort. I did, and now feel a kinship to this great, historic warrior.

We as members of the International Association of Sheet Metal Workers' or "outside of it" do have that luxury of choice.. but is it really going to result in a future for any of us? Good God Joe Sellers Jr., we hover about 33% short of our mandated 80% funding level at 60%, having only increased the fund mere points with 9 years to recover (2027)Good luck to you there. Perhaps recruiting more non union members with the intention of dumping them before vesting rights are achieved is your recovery plan..this is how I see it happening right before our eyes. Landgraf stated it in meetings.. we need to capture "market share"' increase our membership by 600 number, share our recently diminished work, despite the repeal of Prevailing Wage Law and the reduction in work we expect it to result in. You say manpower is "marketshare" .. I say "marketshare" is WORK on the books. You say the chicken before the egg, but try to make a chicken without an egg!

Before I forget.

I now mention the OTHER most significant person in my life. My daughter Brooklynne.

I was a wreck. My life was relatively meaningless, I was divorcing, I was without home or job and I was dangerously close to desperation.

And yet the most beautiful wonder I ever created (not alone mind you) was my supportive, wonderful daughter who never JUST watched me suffer, she elevated me with her love. I think she recognized we were ALL we both had. Of course she still had her mom. But I had memories, heartbreak and a daughter. It was enough, but barely.

Until you have been there, no one can explain it or capture it.. it is desperation. Thank you Brooklynn, Thank you Patti the two of you are so very special!

A quick mention of gratitude to my best Labor Buddies Mike Krebsbach, Mel Pearson and my newest addition, a young man who has trials to his own, who I will refer to now only as "ICEMAN". WELCOME, Wisconsin Labor Heroes newest member. Cool and reserved, with strength of character, I see as a reflection. This young man will be undoing corruption in his home Local 19.

Gary Masino, one of the International's "toadies" ( who knew General President Joseph Sellers Jr. was a Good Old Boy from Local 19?) this Business Manager /President is learning fast what a mistake it was to tangle with the "ICEMAN".

Gary Masino, you can hang up you political ambitions. Your "goose is cooked", you spoke too soon, too often,( and into a recorder ) with malice in your heart for the people you swore (repeatedly) to serve. I personal will see to it. Thank you "ICEMAN" for the courage to become a Labor Hero and forever change our world. I will ride across the finish line with you , I solemnly swear. "ICEMAN" an apprentice sheet metal worker was trialed by an eboard and expelled for not lying to substanciate the unions weak case against a former contractor. Soon you will hear Gary Masino attempt to coerce this young man into false testimony. Shame on you Gary Masino. Substandard behavior for a Business Manager. Did you learn you craft from Landgraf. Ask Patrick how his prosecution of this Brother furthered his career. Good riddance Patrick.

One last very important shout out to an incredible human being.

Walter Stern III.

Legal Counsel to WLH and a mentor to me. Walter has taught me the most important aspects crucial to my success. Patience, Preparation and Purity of Heart. You cannot buy this kind of friendship, loyalty, kindness or courage. I have enjoyed every conversation, every dinner, every victory at the NLRB and the hard work we do together. Walter will never falter, he is proven, he is practiced, he is honed, he is steel. He will "cut you in court" and you won't know you are bleeding until you are home in the shower. Labor Heroes will know it. Those who violate us as members will live it.

It is 4:34 a.m. a big day ahead.. time to go to work. Thank you for visiting , now share the good word and protect your future ( except you villains, no hope for you, no rest for the wicked)

"Fightin' Bob" at your service,

My adventure began with Right to Work (RtW) issues at the Wisconsin State Capitol in 2014. Scott Walker was bringing RtW legislation to Wisconsin, like it or not, the Republicans held majorities in the Senate, the Assembly and the Governorship. RtW was accepted as a foregone conclusion. Nothing to be done. I felt otherwise. I busied myself looking for a Republican Senator and found one in outgoing Dale Schultz (608) 604-0217. Dale was "old guard", nothing like Scott Walker the "Tea Party" candidate, and Dale knew what bipartisanship was all about. He could negotiate and compromise even if he was in the party of majority.

On December 11th , 2014 while late season deer hunting, I received a call from Patrick Landgraf with a scolding for "representing myself as a Business Representative". Neither one of us was happy, but I was sincere in my explanation that I told all four senate offices that I was rank and file. Someone made an assumption that only a B.R. would bother and so the call. Landgraf promised that we would get a lobbyist and that it had to be a member and the call ended. By February, at the meeting in Waukesha, Landgraf had received permission to spend $3000 a month for attorney A.J. Wilson, who would represent Local 18 in the State Capitol building. Since then, we have received exactly ZERO wins in the labor war, but to date the union has spent $120,000 on this lobbyist. Noone has a problem with this? This conversation prompted my run for business manager in 2015. The story of union corruption follows after a weekend with an "actual" brother Lou in Washington State.

Nominations for election of officers was on Monday June 1st 2015. Elections were held statewide on June 22nd. In Madison, on the day of the election, Business Representative Scott Bartz was campaigning for the incumbents at the Madison Labor Temple. Despite rules restricting campaigners from campaigning inside the polling station, Bartz was reported in and out of the labor temple. Bartz violated federal election of officers rules when he used the threat of refusing to supply "hot tips" to retiree Mark Fredrickson if he did not come to vote. Coercion is illegal, and so is providing special treatment to favored members. Scott is a particular disappointment -- as we were friends before Patrick Landgraf said otherwise. Please check out the post regarding the "failure to supervise this local" by General President Joseph Sellers

A letter in the link below was a refusal by G. P. Joseph Sellers in Washington to reinstate this brother in time for the June elections. Today June 4th I will be filing unfair labor practices with the NLRB on General President Sellers for this failing. I will be recieving confirmation of my fifth (5) unfair labor settlement agreement. to date, no work or financial recompensations have been awarded. but shortly I will be an unfair labor practice record-holder. click link for the G.P.'s response letter to my attorney. it is little consolation for the lost wages, benefits and years of defamation.. but I persist.

I am a Wisconsin Labor Hero. Will you be?

On Thursday May 31st I received a call from Howard Birns of Local 28. Howard had been on the International Facebook page and found a Brother in New Jersey asking for advice about charges he had been brought up in in his home local 19 SMART (getting to hate having to refer to these "dumb-asses" as SMART.. it is simply not true.) The young man is a third year apprentice who came over from the previous non union in a signatory signing three years ago. He worked for Multi Temp, a contractor who was signatory to the Pipe Fitters looking for the "union advantage". to my understanding, Multi Temp is a minority contractor and eligible for disadvantaged business person privilege. Not all contractors are and as such we speculate the status of Multi Temp is something other union contractors may wish less than success. a year or so into the "collective bargaining Agreement" it became clear that the union might not have the companies best interest at heart. The local business representatives were not providing talent specifically taylored to the work Multi Temp was doing and as such, the companies profitability was suffering and they couldn't compete. Its a bit like the old trick of providing architectural workers to mechanical contractors. This is universal throughout the country, ask ANY contractor who are not part of the "Good Old Boys Club".

The union (local 19 B.M. Gary Masino) brought charges against Gary.. really ridiculous crazy ones to include Article 17 Sec 12 (i) a charge that applies only to union officials.. they know not what they do! A co-worker Joe, a gentleman I first spoke to yesterday was found guilty also, expelled and fined $50,000 also. Expulsion means complete removal from the organization.. will the International sanction this, and should the guys surrender the money (ha) or use it for attorneys. Gary has only honor to fight for and the duty of seeing the Constitution upheld. Joe has years of service to concern himself with.

The local was attempting to coerce Gary and Joe into testifying against Multi Temp.. as the union has brought forth a fine upon Multi Temp and they appear to have a case so weak that they needed the cooperation of members to get evidence...guess that will no longer occur. What the union is lining up for is a lawsuit brought forth on behalf of Gary and Joe. I have committed to honor MY Constitution and will stand with my "severed" brothers. Will the International recognize the appeal which Gary and Joe will submit? The local violated Article 17 Sec.2 (e) whereupon they shall afford the accused ten (10) days to view the trial minutes for purposes of appeal. Thereupon the trial shall be concluded. The accused shall have at the next meeting to follow the conclusion of the trial , to bring forward BROTHERS and SISTERS in significant numbers to defeat the Good Old Boys who the union will certainly bring. I ask you all to grab your "pinks" and get down to the July meeting , put "holy hell" on and demand procedure. please read your Constitutions Articles 17 and 18 and prepare to watch injustice occur. The union failed to notify Gary of the meeting whereupon the trial committee would be appointed. He would be allowed thereupon to recuse two trial board members. This is a direct violation of the Constitution. In my trial, the next notification came from the President Patrick Landgraf instead of the trial chair as prescribed. I guarantee that Gary Masino will violate all the way through..no way this ape can read. Please tune back in tomorrow as we talk to lawyers and the JATC , where this was to be taken had there been a real case against Gary. please feel free to comment on my email slamkabob@gmail.com or call at (414)349-9043 Solidarity.
