Unfortunately you can't use anything from the SD card as a ringtone, the phone won't recognize it. What you can do however, is make your own ringtones. Using any mp3 file you have on a computer you can upload it as an attatchment with your favorite email client and send it to your phone as a ringtone. In the email send it to yournumber@vzwpix.com, be sure to include a subject and it will arrive on your phone as a MMS. Play the message on your phone and you can click "options" and "save as ringtone".
I am with Cricket wireless and decided to go with the Cricket Debut Flip. I purchased it from Walmart for $31 and some change after tax, and swapped my SIM from my smartphone in and have been using it as my main phone ever since. Below are pros and cons in my opinion of the phone thus far.

-Little phone bugs (when I change ringtones, it doesn't actually change the sound when the phone is ringing.) That's the biggest bug I have found so far. (If anyone knows of any fix for this, please let me know. I've tried everything lol.)
What I would like to do is keep a standard ringtone for a general phone call just coming into the office, but I would like to change my ringtone to something different if it's a direct transfer to my extension. That way I know to "ignore' if I can the general calls, but be aware when a call is being directly forwarded to my phone and i need to answer. 5376163bf9
