Wireless Networking Security

When you're planning your hardware purchase and setting-up your home wireless network, network security must be considered. As you probably know, malicious individuals are out there trying to take your computer down. These attacks could come in the form of viruses, malware or other malicious software.

I won't discuss malware or virus here. I assume that you don't know much about computers and that you have the latest spyware and virus prevention software installed. Know this: Any network can be accessed by a persistent hacker. But, they will not be able to access your network if it isn't well designed and protected. They have other options. That is the goal of Qnap Colombia.

What's really sad (and funny) about network attacks? They occur when the network security is not properly configured. Don't become one of these victims. You can get almost everything you need from the box when you buy computers or networking hardware today. This will help to discourage many, if certainly not all, attacks. It is important to be motivated and educated about how to protect your network.

Another thing that is obvious about home wireless networks is their vulnerability to hacking. An attacker would need to know much more about your network configuration (IP addresses, username and passwords), in order to gain access to it. If they are not able to access the network, then even that knowledge will not be helpful.
