This privacy policy governs your use of the software application "WI Sports Radio Locator" (the "Application") for mobile devices.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
1. Location Data
The Application's primary function is to display a list of radio stations sorted by their distance from you. To provide this feature, the Application requests access to your device's location data.
How We Use Location Data: Your device's location is used only to calculate the approximate distance to the radio stations listed within the app. This calculation happens entirely on your device.
Data We Do NOT Collect: We do not collect, store, save, or transmit your location data to our servers or any third-party service. Your location is not tracked, shared, or used for any other purpose, such as advertising or analytics. Once the distance calculation is complete, the location data is discarded.
2. Internet Access
The Application uses the Internet permission (android.permission.INTERNET) for the sole purpose of updating its internal list of radio stations.
How We Use Internet Access: The Application connects to public Google Sheets documents to download the latest list of radio affiliates for the supported sports teams. This is a one-way data fetch from Google's servers to your device.
Data We Do NOT Collect: This process is anonymous. The Application does not transmit any personal information or device identifiers to Google or any other service during this update process.
3. Automatically Collected Information
The Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, and the version of the Application you are using. This information is collected by the Google Play Store and other standard app distribution platforms for analytics and crash reporting purposes and is not accessed or stored by us directly.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
No. We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties. As we do not collect or store your personal data (like location), there is no information for us to share.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
We do not collect or retain any personal data. Therefore, there is no data retention policy for personal information, and no information for you to manage or delete.
Children
We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us. We do not collect any personal information, but we will take steps to ensure no such data is ever processed if we are made aware of it.
Security
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. All processing of location data is done locally on your device and is not stored. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain.
