This trip is for students who are currently in 6th - 12th grade.

Go Skiing! There will be times and challenges given each day of something to do on the mountain or something to “study/process” while out and about.
(For non skiers) head into town for daily activities: sledding/tubing, shopping/tourism in Pagosa Springs, snow shoeing, outdoor hot tubbing, & ice skating.
Skiers Meet back at bus @ 4:15 PM
Skiers Arrive at Lodge @ 5 PM
Dinner at 6:15 PM
Group teaching time @ 7:15 PM
Games and hangout until 11 PM
Lights out @11:30 PM
Some students will have to miss school on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
Departure times are TBD
However, 5 AM departure from Central Time (CT) will give us an ETA of 9 PM Mountain Time (MT). Departure time of 4 AM MT will give us an ETA of 10 PM CT.

To facilitate a week of Deep Discipleship opportunities and faith conversations while at Sonlight Camp, through the town of Pagosa Springs, and Skiing on the slopes of Wolf Creek Ski Area.
During the evenings at Sonlight Camp, we will gather as a large group for a teaching time to grow in our faith and leadership.

$305 Non-refundable deposit due at time of registration (this is the cost of lodging only)
Additional cost will be dependent on the person. Attendees will be responsible for meals on the way there and on the way back during travel. This will be a maximum of 6 meals. We suggest $80 for travel meals & snacks on the road.
Attendees should bring extra money if souveniers are desired. (i.e. shirt, sticker, magnet, ornament, etc.)
This trip will be for 3 different types of attendees at 3 different prices:
Option 1. People who want to ski
Ski 2 days (Total Price $580)
Ski 1 day, (Total Price $480)
Option 2. People who don't want to ski, but still want to experience Colorado and more mild winter activities (Total Price $380)
Winter activities may include and are not limited to: sledding/tubing, shopping/tourism in Pagosa Springs, snow shoeing, outdoor hot tubbing, & ice skating.
Can I Snowboard?
No. We are only offering skiing during this trip. We will reevaluate adding snowboarding as an option the next Winter Retreat.
Will I have to take Ski School?
If you have never skied before, you will be required to take ski school on the first day. It is a 2-4 hour course. Basically half a day. Students will be limited to beginner slopes for the full first day. The church will pay for the ski school for those who are in need of it.
If you have skied before but it has been more than 5 years since you skied last, you will be required to take ski school. If you have an objection to this and you have skied before, send us a message. We will take your experience into consideration.
Will I have to Wear A Helmet?
All skiers (yes, even adults) will be required to wear a helmet while skiing. This is included in the total price.
You may bring your own skiing helmet if you own one.
