Join us in keeping low income, un-housed people warm during the upcoming winter season!

Mission

WINTER AWEAR is on a mission to keep low income and un-housed Bay Area residents warm while raising awareness for those less fortunate and facing adverse situations during the cold winter season. WINTER AWEAR has partnered with Abode Services to provide warm winter essentials (beanies, mittens, and scarves) to fellow Bay Area residents in need. All donations will be given to the less fortunate through Abode's San Jose and Santa Clara Community Outreach teams. The beanies, scarves, and mittens we collect and purchase will be given to the less fortunate who battle the elements daily and the front-line workers from Abode who put themselves at risk for the benefit of others. We are asking for your help in fulfilling this mission. Please donate new or slightly used beanies, mittens, and scarves. Cash donations are welcome as well and will be used to buy additional beanies, mittens, and scarves.

Abode Services

Abode Services has partnered with WINTER AWEAR to keep the homeless warm. Abode was founded in Alameda County in 1989, when a small group of volunteers came together to address the growing problem of homelessness.

Since then, they have expanded their impact throughout the Bay Area, serving more than 9,100 people each year in Alameda, Santa Clara, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, San Mateo, and Napa counties.

Abode develops and implements innovative programs to end homelessness for vulnerable children and adults in our community.
