The fun part about putting together this roundup was opening each delivery box and uncorking some nice wines. We captured the unboxing process to help you decide what the best wine subscription might be for you. We paid attention to:
Wine Box Subscription
It doesn't matter if you're a wine expert or are still unsure about the difference between a syrah and a zinfandel--everyone loves a good glass of wine. Wine subscription boxes or wine clubs can do something more than deliver wine to your home; they can give you an opportunity to develop your palate, find new favorites, and pair your drinks like a true connoisseur. They also make for amazing gifts, whether as a one-time box or a gift that keeps on giving.
Subscribing to Firstleaf means you have options. The company directly works with an impressive network of winemakers and wineries and their algorithm analyzes over a million customer ratings to get you the very best of their wide variety.
You start by selecting basic preferences for wine (red, white, sparkling, rosÃ, or a mix) and wine origin (domestic, international, or a mix); then their simple quiz guides you through a few more preferences.
Having been a member of multiple wine clubs, I've ended up staying with Firstleaf. The quality of their wines is top-notch and I don't really have to make any selections since they learn what I like. Their cards that they put in the box are pretty cool too." - lxc1
Vine Oh! knows loving wine is about more than enjoying a full-bodied red on a chilly evening (though that sounds pretty fantastic). Wine helps you celebrate those little moments in life, and this quarterly subscription gives you something to celebrate--they offer lots of extras in addition to your bottles.
One important note: Vine Oh! markets its boxes to women and some of the products (such as the earrings) are gender-specific. Guys can still enjoy the wines, which tend to feature expressive notes and elegant aromas.

"Their model allows smaller winemakers the freedom to focus more on wine and less on marketing and desk work. And because winemakers apply to collaborate with NakedWines.com, the company gets to pick and choose from the best of the best to work with. Currently, they partner with well over 150 independent winemakers, many with pretty impressive famous-name pedigrees." -Megan Kirkland

Does anyone have suggestions for those wine boxes that are semi-bulk, like 13 or so variety bottles? I know Hello Fresh or one of the food boxes used to include coupons for these types of wine variety packs. Thanks.
Wine subscription boxes have enjoyed huge success over the past year or so as drinkers were forced to shop online. The concept is simple - a wine delivery to your door at regular intervals, relieving you from having to choose from a shelf then lugging the bottles home.
When Oranj couldn't open as planned as a natural wine bar in London in 2020, the Oranj monthly wine subscription service was launched instead, along with an online wine shop. Haven't tried natural wine before? Read our guide to natural wine for everything you need to know.
With a wide range of price points, this is an accessible wine subscription and a great way to get more in-depth knowledge of English wine, as well as supporting smaller, local winemakers and vineyards.
The emphasis is on wines from small producers using low-intervention techniques, with a fair smattering of funky natural wines. The March box was put together by Holly Berrigan of MYSA, an online-only wine shop focused on natural wine. For her theme, Holly will be taking us through a few of her favorite aged wines that have had a little more time to shine. Learn more about Holly and her theme, then sign up.
Choose from 3, 6, or 12 bottles of natural wine delivered to your door monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly. Each box includes personal touches, unbeatable quality to price ratio, flexible delivery options, and best-in-class customer service (check out our reviews and press on the club below!).
Which Natural Wine Club do you Recommend?
This is based on you and your consumption BUT we highly recommend the club with 12 bottles as the best bang for your buck in the affordable wine world!
How is Your Club Different From Other Natural Wine Subscriptions?
We want every box to be about more than just getting natural wine delivered, which is why we include a custom link that tells you about each producer, the wine production and expected tasting notes, along with how funky or classic the wine might be, serving temperatures and food pairings! We also have a special wine tasting and evaluation process you'll get access to as a club member where you can write down what you thought about the wine and broaden your natural wine education!
Will My Box Have Orange Wines?
Yes! Most of the monthly boxes have orange wines in them. We try to get a nice mix of styles, from red, white, rose, orange, sparkling, etc. That said, it can be tricky to fit everything in a 3-bottle subscription! For a bigger range of styles, and more exploration, we'd recommend the 6 or 12 bottle membership.
Is this a Wine Subscription?
Yes! When you place the order, you're opting into a subscription at the frequency you chose with the number of bottles you choose. For example, if you choose 3 bottles/Every Month you will have 3 bottles of natural wine delivered every month. You have the option to login to your account and adjust frequencies, the number of bottles, pause, or cancel shipments at any time, no strings attached.
Other times we have long-standing partnerships, like with the Carbon Fund which helps us offset the carbon emissions of all the wines being transported from the vineyard to your doorstep! We are also members of the Porto Protocol where Holly writes on sustainability in natural wine.
