Wine Blending Simulator Instructions
This tool helps you calculate how different blending decisions will impact your remaining wine inventory with real-time feedback on specific varietal usage across five inventory slots.
Select Units: Choose Gallons or Liters at the top.
Enter Volumes: Input your current stock for up to five base wines (W1–W5).
Label Your Wines: Use the text boxes below each inventory input to name your wines (e.g., "Cab Sav," "Merlot," "Syrah"). These names will automatically update the labels in the Recipe and Inventory sections.
Custom Blend Labels: Under the "Blend" column in Section 2, use the Label box to name your specific project (e.g., "Reserve Red," "House White"). This name will appear on the corresponding slider in Section 3.
Set Percentages: Enter the percentage of each base wine (W1–W5) required for the blend.
Validation: Each row must total exactly 100.00%. If a recipe is mathematically incorrect, the percentage to the right of the simulator total will turn Red.
Blending Sliders or Gallon imput: Adjust the sliders in Section 3 to set the total production volume for each blend or enter the total gallons required for your blend.
Live Recipe Breakdown: Underneath each slider, the tool displays the exact volume of each varietal (by name) required to create that specific batch.
Inventory Tracking: The Remaining Inventory grid at the bottom tracks all five wines simultaneously as you adjust volumes. This displays how much is left from your original inventory after making the blends.
Red Values: If a blending decision requires more wine than you have in stock, the remaining volume for that specific wine will turn Red.
Banner Alert: A "⚠️ INVENTORY EXCEEDED" warning will appear at the bottom if any inventory level drops below zero.
