About the Artist
Chris Oxberry is a London-born artist now based in the Perth Hills of Western Australia. After emigrating to Australia, she continued to develop a lifelong commitment to visual art through study at a range of institutions and privately run studios, working across ceramics, drawing and painting.
Her practice spans acrylics, oils and chalk pastels, with recent work strongly influenced by the Australian landscape and native flora. Chris is particularly drawn to colour, texture and organic form, responding intuitively to the environment around her and translating this into expressive, considered compositions.
Chris works from her studio in Kalamunda, where the surrounding bushland continues to inform and inspire her work.
