The task force of Modeling Subsynchronous Oscillations in Wind Energy Interconnected Systems (“Wind SSO”) was created in 2017 under Modeling and Analysis of System Transients using Digital Programs Working Group, Transient Analysis and Simulations Subcommittee (TASS), Analytic Methods for Power Systems (AMPS) Committee. In 2021, Wind SSO taskforce was renamed to IBR SSO taskforce to include all types of inverter based resources such as wind and solar generation.
