When making a voice call, once the phone number has been dialed, the user should use a separate program to handle the voice portion of the call.

If the user simply wants to use dialer.exe to dial their phone line, they must enter a number to dial in dialer.exe, dial the number, then pick up a handset that is connected to the same phone line as the modem to speak with the recipient of the call.

Does anyone ever use and know how to configure dialer.exe in windows 10? I'm looking for an auto dialer that can integrate with MS Access to dial out certain users (at least able to add 3-4 users phone number if one didn't pick up) as an alert phone call. Do I need any hardware device or VoIP phone system(preferably over IP phone system. Let me know if you guys have any documentation on how to do it. Thanks

Microsoft still offers a tapi phone dialer which will work with a $20 usb modem. I use the Hiro v.92 56k usb modem. The link that already exists to lots of programs, could just go to the built in dialer that Windows already makes for that purpose. Is this possible or planned? It is nice to do contact management and call clients at the click of a link.

Phone Dialer is a component of Microsoft Windows which allows the user to take phone calls by connecting a modem to the PC. It can be launched by invoking the dialer.exe application within the System32 directory.

The phone dialer functionality works by calling the Open method with a phone number. When the phone dialer is opened, .NET MAUI will automatically attempt to format the number based on the country code, if specified.

Having a Microsoft people app is really needed. Importing contacts from Outlook is easy enough, but the dialer doesn't show the same contacts. It shows the Google contacts, creating double and linked contacts a lot of the time. If we had a Microsoft People and dialer app should eliminate problems. And a couple more steps away from Google.

All together, I think Microsoft has made some great strides with this Launcher, and with SMS Organizer (As well as other apps). Adding a People and dialer app would go a long way to satisfying a lot of us, not mention it would give us a complete Microsoft ecosystem on Android.

The phone dialer is an important feature of Windows that has been around since the early days of computers. It allows you to make phone calls directly from your computer and offers features like contact management, call logging, and more.

The genuine dialer.exe file is a software component of ISPWizard by ISPWizard.

A modem dialer, this process is responsible for dialing out and connecting to your Internet Service Provider. Created by ISPWizard, the application is no longer supported, but will function in Windows 7.

The .exe extension on a filename indicates an executable file. Executable files may, in some cases, harm your computer. Therefore, please read below to decide for yourself whether the dialer.exe on your computer is a Trojan that you should remove, or whether it is a file belonging to the Windows operating system or to a trusted application.

The dialer.exe file is a Windows core system file. The file is a trustworthy file from Microsoft. The program has no visible window. Therefore the technical security rating is 2% dangerous; but you should also compare this rating with the user reviews.

Important: Some malware disguises itself as dialer.exe, particularly when not located in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. Therefore, you should check the dialer.exe process on your PC to see if it is a threat. We recommend Security Task Manager for verifying your computer's security. This was one of the Top Download Picks of The Washington Post and PC World.

A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with dialer. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using 1cleanmgr and 2sfc /scannow, 3uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using 4msconfig) and enabling Windows' 5Automatic Update. Always remember to perform periodic backups, or at least to set restore points.

To help you analyze the dialer.exe process on your computer, the following programs have proven to be helpful: ASecurity Task Manager displays all running Windows tasks, including embedded hidden processes, such as keyboard and browser monitoring or Autostart entries. A unique security risk rating indicates the likelihood of the process being potential spyware, malware or a Trojan. BMalwarebytes Anti-Malware detects and removes sleeping spyware, adware, Trojans, keyloggers, malware and trackers from your hard drive.

You obviouly dont know how Windows Dialer works or how Tapi works then do you or its some realy cludgy software

Asttapi is a tapi driver. But thats of little interest to you, I mentioned outlook as that uses the underlying dialer code to dial out same as ACT does.

you can change the default dialer which is invoked through

tapiRequestMakeCall by changing the following registry key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony\HandoffPriorities::RequestMakeCallBest regards,Matthias Moetje

After 8 years it suddenly stop working (opening default dialer.exe) and I find that our technical department installed Service Pack 3 of Windows on the machine and for one or other reason it makes ?dialer.exe? the default call-control application. I managed to get a work-around by replacing all the Windows registry references from ?dialer.exe? to ?C:\Windows\?.\Alcatel\popexe.exe?.

the last parameter of tapiRequestMakeCall is a comment. Why do you think you

could pass a path to a dialer application through this parameter? Please see

MSDN documentation for tapiRequestMakeCall. One thing you could do in your VBA code is to set the registry value with

the dialer path before calling tapiRequestMakeCall.Best regards,

To have the contacts show in a nice, tiled grid, and your dialer to look like the one on Windows Phone, youwant WP7Contact Liteinstalled. True, this program was designed for an earlier edition of Windows, but it will do just fine. e24fc04721
