We are a small family farm with a primary focus on seasonal produce. Our goal is to offer our guests a quality product at a reasonable price.
Quantity is not our objective here at Windmill Farm, we strive to offer only the best, however at times this comes at a price. It takes time, effort and many hard hours to get it right. So please be patient with us and give it a try, Thank you!
Being raised on a farm in the 60's, I learned at an early age that working with the land, sowing seeds and having pure faith that something would emerge was something special.
There were four boys and one girl in our family and a very hard working mother and father. Many of our school breaks and holidays were spent in the field gathering vegetables and tending crops, after all that's when everyone wants to prepare that special meal for their friends and family.
It's with great sacrifice that we are able to go to the grocery store and have whatever we want at our fingertips. Often someone was up before daybreak and working into the night to afford us that luxury.
It's with hesitation that I say this, but the toilet paper shortage/panic behind Covid-19 in 2020 cannot compare to the hunger pains one might endure in the future if we fail to support our local farmers.
The love for farming is deep in near and dear to my family and I feel very blessed to have had that life experience. I retired in 2020 and returned to a passion that gives me great purpose and satisfaction.
My brother and I work together weekly planning and tending the crops. I am so thankful for the time we get to spend together. I plan to to continue this tradition as long as God gives me the strength or becomes a hobby I no longer enjoy.
