Student Athletes earn cords by participating in sports during their years at Windham High School for each season they play during all 4 years at Windham High School (or transferred). A student can change their sport (play two years of soccer in the fall and 2 years of golf so long as it is in the same season) to earn a cord for that season. The student athlete must be in good standing to be able to receive their cords.
Parents who have earned their hours and students who have earned their cords, will receive a letter in late May to notify them of the Cording Ceremony and the details of the event.
Following the spring banquet, there is a cording ceremony for graduating student athletes and their parents to celebrate graduation and the end of High School Sports. It's a wonderful opportunity to share this with your child.
Parents are asked to volunteer at least 32 hours over the course of the 4 years. We understand that not all parents can volunteer, and we allow for donating of hours so long the person donating has more than 32 hours.
We ask that parents sign up early for volunteer opportunities and to sign in when they arrive to volunteer as we keep track of all hours.
