Veterans Day Tournament

Cancellation Notice

Regretfully, the Winchester Soccer Club has decided to cancel the 2018 Veterans Day Tournament (VDT) due to unforeseen weather conditions that have resulted in the grass and turf playing fields being unplayable and unsafe. Given the unpredictability of New England weather, we reserved additional turf fields for use this year but the snowstorm that hit Thursday night and the cold temperatures throughout the weekend have proven to be more than even the turf fields could handle. This decision was made after reviewing all of the fields and the options for rescheduling and/or relocating games.

The VDT has been a tradition and a hallmark of the Winchester Soccer Club for 17 years and we are extremely disappointed that this decision was necessary. We thank all of the teams for registering to participate and we apologize for the inconvenience of this cancellation. Although the Tournament Competition Rules provide for a maximum refund of 50% of registration fees, the Winchester Soccer Club will refund 75% of each team's fees. This is in acknowledgement of this inconvenience but also factors in the costs which WSC has already incurred. WSC remains committed to providing opportunities for friendly soccer games and events for players at all levels and we will be reevaluating the tournament for next year's event. Thank you for your understanding and for your continued support of the Winchester Soccer Club.

Ryan Connolly Memorial 3v3 Tournament

The 5th Annual Ryan Connolly Memorial 3v3 Tournament will be held at the end of November 2019, in memory of Ryan Connolly. All proceeds from the tournament go towards the brand new indoor facility at Winchester Community Park - an initiative to transform a neglected property along the Aberjona River and Cross Street into much needed all-season, outdoor and indoor, lighted, multi-sports fields.

In May of 2016, "Ryan Connolly Field" was officially opened as the main outdoor soccer field at the new WCP complex. The new field has given children in Winchester and surrounding communities the opportunity to have access to play the game Ryan loved on "his" amazing field as part of this wonderful complex.
