1. Core Privacy Principle: Local Processing Win11 PC Launcher is designed as a standalone, local utility application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share your personal data with any external servers. All core processing, including file management, app organization, and UI customization, happens strictly locally on your device.
2. Device Permissions and Data Access To function correctly as a desktop environment and launcher, the Application requires specific device permissions. This data is accessed dynamically and remains on your device:
Installed Applications (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): The Application requires visibility into the other apps installed on your device to populate the Start Menu, Taskbar, and App Drawer. We do not track your app usage, monitor your activity inside other apps, or transmit your app list off your device.
Storage and Media Access: To power the built-in File Explorer and wallpaper personalization, the Application requires permission to read your device's media (Photos, Videos, and Audio) and scoped storage. We do not scan, upload, or share your personal files.
Notification Access: To simulate a desktop environment, the Application requests permission to read incoming notifications. This is used solely to display your alerts on the Launcher's lock screen and taskbar Notification Center. Notification data is processed locally and is never saved, transmitted, or shared.
System Settings: The Application accesses specific hardware interfaces (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Screen Brightness, Volume, and Flashlight) to power the Quick Settings panel. These toggles communicate directly with your Android operating system and do not collect data.
Location Services: If you utilize the weather widget features, the Application may use generalized location data to fetch localized weather forecasts via anonymous, keyless APIs (such as Open-Meteo). This location data is not linked to your identity or stored on our servers.
3. Accessibility Services and Device Administration
Accessibility Services: The Application optionally utilizes Android's Accessibility Service API to perform global system gestures on your behalf, such as expanding the system notification panel or opening the Recent Apps screen. The Accessibility Service is used strictly for these routing actions. We do not use this service to monitor your interactions, record your screen, or collect personal data.
Device Administrator: The Application optionally requests Device Administrator privileges strictly to enable the "Double-tap to sleep" or screen-lock features. We do not use this privilege to manage your device or access administrative data.
4. In-App Purchases and Billing The Application offers premium features via Google Play Billing. All financial transactions, payment methods, and billing information are handled entirely and securely by Google Play. We do not collect, process, or have access to your credit card or payment data. We only receive a cryptographic receipt from Google to unlock the premium features on your device.
5. Third-Party Services and Links The Application acts as a bridge to launch other applications or web pages. Once you are redirected to a third-party application or website, you are subject to that third party’s privacy policy. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
6. Data Security Because we do not transmit or store your personal data on external servers, the security of your data is protected by the built-in security features of your Android operating system. We utilize standard cryptographic practices (such as secure PIN hashing and salting) for local app-locking features to ensure your on-device preferences remain secure.
7. Children's Privacy Our Application does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or minors under the age of 16. Because the Application does not collect user data, there is no risk of a minor's data being stored or shared by Us.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features or changes in Google Play policies. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy and making the revised policy accessible within the Application.
