Q&A Session w/ Female UConn Alumni from Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin is a global aerospace and defense company with locations in almost every state in the U.S. This company also hires a large amount of UConn graduates! This Q&A session, held in collaboration with SWE, will allow for networking with female UConn alumni that are now working at Lockheed Martin. This is a great time to learn about different career paths, to learn about what day-to-day work looks like at this company, and to expand your network!
Tea Time w/ Dr. Barbara Mellone

Dr. Mellone is a Professor of Molecular and Cell Biology. She will be sharing about her academic journey, her career, and her research. This event is meant to be informal so attendees can ask questions and get advice, so bring questions! For those interested in learning about Dr. Mellone's research, the Mellone Lab studies how genetic information is accurately passed from one cell generation to the next.

6:00 – 7:00 PM | Screening of the documentary Below the Belt, which highlights the challenges individuals with endometriosis face in today’s healthcare system
7:00 – 8:00 PM | Panel discussion featuring professionals and advocates who will share their expertise and answer audience questions
This event will feature a team of researchers from EndoRISE, an initiative dedicated to advancing endometriosis research, educating the public, and supporting those impacted by this chronic disease. Some members of the EndoRISE team work at The Jackson Laboratory in Farmington, where they have been involved in groundbreaking research and advocacy.
