Data Centers

Multiple large-scale data centers, natural gas power plants, solar farms and battery storage facilities are proposed for Wilson County.

What can we do?

• Attend local meetings of the Wilson County Commissioner's Court. We need to show up in large numbers to tell our commissioners that we won't give up our resources for large data centers. Commissioners meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 9am at 1420 3rd St, Floresville. 

• Vote out the commissioners and the state representative who have given the green light to these developments in Wilson County. We endorse Mark Hurd for Wilson County Commissioner Precinct 4 and Jennifer "JJ" Dominguez for Texas House District 31 Representative. Vote out the Governor of Texas who has made Texas the number 1 state for data center development to the detriment of our rural communities. We endorse Gina Hinojosa for Texas Governor. 

• Attend the Evergreen Underground Water Conservation District meetings the 4th Friday of the month at 110 Wyoming Blvd, Pleasanton. They approve drilling permits for Wilson County. 

• Tell your friends and neighbors about these developments! We all need to be aware and get involved to stop these centers from draining our water in our drought prone county!
