1. Do your boats have a motor? No, our sailboats are powered only by the wind, and we can control the sails and rudder to navigate around the course.
2. How much does it cost? That depends a lot on the boat and your budget level. You could expect to pay $300-$500 to get started. You may also save money by finding used boats. There’s no charge to come out and sail with us!
3. I see buoys on the water. Are you racing? We have a great time sailing, and some friendly competition helps you become a better sailor. You can come sail for any reason and we welcome beginner and expert alike.
4. How often do you go sailing? Currently, we sail Wednesdays from 10 to 3 with a quick lunch break. Due to inclement weather, the day and time may change. Join our e-mail list to find out when we are sailing.
5. Where can I get a sailboat? There are no local retailers, but you may find a used boat for sale by one of our members. There are several online suppliers of boats and parts. Currently, our group races the DragonFlite 95 class of sailboat, but we are open to other types of sailboats.
Time to go sailing!
