VARIETIES

Wilson Creek Orchard offers a large variety of apples. We currently have over 30 varieties and are planning to plant additional 'heirloom' varieties in the spring of 2018. Our most popular variety is the honeycrisp, which typically begins ripening toward the middle of September.

We will keep the ripening chart up-to-date the best we can so you can check out what we have available before your visit.

We pick our apples at their peak of ripeness, offering our customers the very best flavor.

The moment any apple is picked the decomposition process starts. In order to limit that process, we transfer the apples to our cooler, kept at 38 degrees fahrenheit, within a couple hours of picking. This ensures that the freshest product, with the best flavor, gets into our customer's hands.
