Who is eligible for WAVE?

Any student in grades 4-12 residing in Wilson County, NC are encouraged to apply.

Can Homeschool families participate in WAVE?

YES! This is one of the most exciting aspects of "CATCHING" the WAVE! While WAVE can be your full-time alternative to your current school choice; it can also be an Add-On to what you are currently learning.  Because WAVE classes are delivered asynchronously (not a specific time) you have the freedom and flexibility to add curriculum enhancements to your current course of study.

Are College-Level classes offered?

Yes! WAVE students in grades 9-12 are eligible to participate with WCS FREE partnership with Wilson Community College to take a wide variety of college classes.  Through the CCP course offereings, students can earn college transferable credit at NO COST while enrolled at WAVE.

Are WAVE students eligible to play sports?

YES! WAVE students enrolled in at least 2 courses are eligible to participate in their base school's (based on your home address) sports, clubs and other activities.
