What is the Delaware Volunteer Credit? The Delaware Volunteerism Act, established in 1994, states that “the active participation of young adults in volunteer activities is necessary to achieve a truly healthy community.” The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services and the Delaware Department of Education have partnered to develop the process by which young adults can received recognition for their participation. The following information provides details regarding the process for such recognition.

September 11th – PD Day but need help in library for all state PD for librarians
The Nanticoke River Watershed Conservancy is looking for active volunteers for various environmental projects! See Mr Brake for details!
September 7- Chapel Branch Nature Trail Seaford - Helping Create Art from natural environments on the trail with students.
September 28- Seaford Main Street – Art Crawl - Seaford, DE.
September 26thth – Prep after school on the 26th for the 27th event at the high school.
Another area needing help in- We are the ONLY school in DE that was chosen, out of 74 schools nation-wide – to help read and vote for a collections of 260 books that are part of the 2025 Children’s Book Council. We get to vote for the winners and need to have at least two books by each person, are voted on by the end of January 2025, to turn in votes. I have prizes to readers that are able to read, vote, and provide a very brief review of every set of two books they choose to read. We need helping in reading, prepping the books, advertising, and more!
