Willy App – Privacy Policy

Willy is an educational app designed for schools and students. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use Willy.
1) Information We Collect
• Students: national number, school/class IDs (provided by your school), progress data (scores, lessons, stars), profile name, and optional avatar.
• Teachers/Admins: email, school ID, class IDs, class lists, notes, exams, and reports.
• Automatic: device type, operating system, app version, in-app usage statistics, and optional crash logs.
• Services: Firebase Authentication & Firestore are used for secure login and data storage.
We do not collect sensitive financial information, precise location, or contacts.
2) How We Use Information
• Deliver educational features and track learning progress.
• Enable teachers and admins to view performance and create content.
• Send teacher notes, assignments, and results.
• Improve reliability, enhance security, and prevent misuse.
We never sell or share your data with advertisers.
3) Children’s Privacy
• Willy is school-managed: students do not self-register.
• We comply with children’s data protection rules (COPPA, GDPR-K).
• Data is used strictly for educational purposes within the school context.
If you believe a child’s data was collected without proper authorization, please contact us for immediate deletion.
4) Data Sharing
• With your school/teacher to support learning and progress.
• With trusted service providers (e.g., Google Firebase) for hosting and authentication.
• If legally required or necessary to protect safety.
No student data is shared for advertising or commercial marketing.
5) Data Retention & Deletion
• Student data is retained while the student is enrolled.
• Teachers/admins may delete their own content (notes, exams, reports).
• Schools may request full deletion of accounts and student data.
• Technical logs may be retained up to 90 days for troubleshooting.
6) Security
• SSL/TLS encryption during transmission.
• Secure storage in Firebase Firestore.
• Role-based access (student, teacher, admin, super admin).
No system is 100% secure—please use strong passwords and protect your device.
7) International Use
• The app is primarily intended for Jordan. Data may be stored on Firebase servers in the EU/US, protected under their safeguards.
8) Your Rights
• Depending on your region: you may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent.
• Requests should be made via your school admin or by contacting us directly.
9) Alignment with CEFR
• Willy’s educational content is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). CEFR is published by the Council of Europe and is publicly available; we do not claim ownership of CEFR.
10) Changes
• We may update this policy; the Effective Date will reflect the latest version in the app.
