Spend an early spring weekend with Joanna Schanz and Jo Campbell-Amsler, weaving willow and learning new techniques. Willow Weaving Weekend 2019 will take place at the Amana Arts Guild Complex in the Village of High Amana, Iowa. Three days of focusing on willow weaving – a perfect way to spend the weekend!

Willow Weekend is designed to provide a “one-to-one” study in Willow Basketry with the teacher of your choice. Classes will have no more than four to five students per teacher, and will provide individual learning, tailored to each student’s skill level and interest.

Beginners will learn willow basics, while more advanced students can concentrate on new techniques, new basket designs and improve their willow skills.

Lunch is provided on Saturday & Sunday (Joanna and Jo put on their chef’s hat) and is included in the class fee. For additional information about lodging, food and other activities in the Amana Colonies, visit www.amanacolonies.com
