Hi, My name is Bianca Blickenstaff, I started at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon when studying Biology and Environmental Studies. I had my first pottery class I knew I wanted to be a potter. Pottery became part of my life and I have been on the journey ever since. I am still after twenty years with many studios coming and going I finally made here to Ester, Alaska. After a few years, I joined the Fairbanks Potters Guild and have slowing building my business Willow Studios. I think I like making beautiful functional pottery that can be used everyday to enhance peoples lives and experiences. This  has been my goal  for a long time. Getting there. I love the potter community here In Fairbanks and the small town feel of everyone. It's been challenging to do Pottery in one of the coldest places but somehow its happening. I hope in the future to create a community potters studio and help to grow the community in a positive way. In my art, I hope to achieve more knowledge in my glaze chemistry and making beautiful glazes. Perfecting my style in throwing and making beautiful wares for the home and garden.
