Weather Policy

70 Degree Minimum

The pool will remain closed if the temperature has not reached 70 degrees at the scheduled 11:00am opening time.

The pool may be closed if the temperature falls drastically below 70 degrees.

Threat of Severe Weather

The pool will not open if it is raining and a reasonable threat of severe weather exists, such as such as thunderstorms or high winds.

The pool may be closed anytime there is a serious threat of severe weather.

Lightning

In the event of lightning the pool will be cleared immediately and will remain closed for an hour from the time lightning was last seen. Reopening is determined by management once the storm has subsided and weather conditions are secure.

3:00pm Re-Evaluation

If the pool does not open at 11:00am due to the weather, it will remain closed until 3:00pm at which time management will evaluate the conditions and determine if the pool can be opened or should remain closed for the remainder of the day.
