I’m a illustrator and writer whose work primarily revolves around themes of queerness and identity.
I like to work in various mediums including: printmaking (lino, neoprene foam relief print, tetrapak intaglio), coloured pencils, copic markers and various 3-D work including needlefelt, puppets and clay sculpting.
I love to draw people and my work is very exaggerated in terms of both colour and facial features. My writing primarily focuses on specific characters, and a plot builds from there. This feeds into my narrative illustration work.
I have run multiple workshops for the University Illustration team and am going to participate in a panel on graphic novels hosted by Paul Gravett at the CMYK Print Fair, 2020.
I am currently studying here and will graduate in 2020 with a predicted first.
I achieved grades A*-B in Creative Writing, Modern History and Fine Art.
I worked alongside my lecturer and another student on a project to encourage nurses to write about their experiences. I edited and proofread work.
I co-lead a workshop on neoprene relief printing to prospective students for the university.
I also ran a workshop at the CMYK print fair and participated in a panel on graphic novels hosted by Paul Gravett.
I've worked as a waitress and general kitchen staff, attending to various duties such as preparing meals for serving, event organisation, and good customer service.
I've worked here as a cleaner and helper to the owner. I prepare the bedrooms for the guests, and help prepare meals and decorate desserts for serving.
