Maggie discovered basketry in the early 1990’s and is now a full time basketry artist, designer maker. She makes traditional and contemporary baskets from a variety of natural materials and has been exploring and experimenting with willow specifically since completing her C&G Diploma in Creative Basketry in 2004.
She grows her own willow and in her contemporary work has used all parts of the willow (from leaves to roots) to make original forms using basketry and other craft techniques. She exhibits widely at home and abroad.
