Welcome to Will Lambert Photography
I am a photography student based in Manchester, United Kingdom. I have worked with a variety of different clients including Bury Football Club, Chapel-en-le-Frith Cricket Club and a local band called Retravelvet. My approach is relaxed, creative, and client-focused — because the best photos happen when you're confident and comfortable.
I am very new to photography, having only studied it for one year. At first it was a slight struggle getting the grasp of how to use a camera properly, what equipment I'd need for my next shoot, etc. But the struggle was minimal and it didn't take long for me to get the hang of things and really start enjoying taking photos. For anyone reading this who is thinking about taking photography at A-Level - do it. It's extremely fun and is a lot more chilled out than other more academic subjects whilst still requiring you to work hard in order to get good results.
Most of the timing I am using a Canon EOS 850D hired from college as I don't have my own camera at home (but I'm currently saving for one). For a lot of my work I use a 75-300mm zoom lens. This helps me with my street photography as it means I can take photos at a distance and don't have to get right up in people's faces which can often be awkward. I also regularly use this lens for sports so that when I edit the photo afterwards, I don't have to crop it down to a very small size resulting in it losing quality.
When I'm not taking photos, I'm most likely playing or watching football. I starting playing football at a very young age and it continues to be one of my favourite things to do to this day.
