Aspirations for the future:

If you didn't know, I am currently in the 8th grade, and I've been thinking about what I want to do in life. And so, here are a bunch of those thoughts laid out for anyone to see.

  1. Current school stuff and high school

Currently, I am pretty busy with school. I plan on joining my school's jazz band and staying with it through high school. I also plan on joining marching band in high school, playing in the percussion section, hopefully marimba and/or quad drums. I'm not completely swamped with work right now, but there are some times where I do get quite busy. In high school, things are probably going to get a lot more chaotic, however. I'll have more work, obviously, and I plan on joining the Japanese Arts & Culture Club as well, of which I'm not sure when will happen. Joining 3 clubs is going to be chaotic, haha. I'm kind of worried about getting a job or getting any sort of money throughout high school, as I will be working in either school or the clubs that I'll join on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This could also change as I get more info about the Japanese Arts & Culture Club. Either way, high school is going to be a chaotic 4 years.

  1. College

I plan to go to college (and eventually live and work) in Japan. I know this might sound stupid to a lot of you, especially because y'know... I live in the US. But, I'm going to be honest here, I really don't like the US. Politics, college, and the work situation here is shit. Anyway, the 3 colleges I'm pretty interested in right now are the Tokyo University of Science (東京理科大学), The University of Tokyo (東京大学), and Waseda University (早稲田大学). I know that these are really prestigious colleges, but I do have extremely big aspirations in life. I'm trying to work as hard as I can when I can so I can achieve my goals. Anyway, working during college is something I haven't really considered, though I hope I don't have to work while in college. But, obviously, shit happens, and I might have to.

  1. Work

To be honest, while I am extremely interested in music and love making and preforming it, I don't plan on pursuing it as my career. I hope to do something in the field of chemistry or microbiology. The way that the universe works intrigues me, and I really want to know more - I am in the pursuit of knowledge, always. I think I'll either do music as a side thing or as my main backup career. I have a few backup career options that I find interesting, but I won't get into them now. I'm not sure where I'll work, but hopefully somewhere that I'll like. But, aside from this, I might work in high school, but my busy schedule might make that an impossibility, and I'll have to find alternative ways of income.

  1. YouTube

I'm not really sure about what I'll do on YouTube, but I think I'll just upload music, gaming, (and eventually) chemistry content. I like uploading on YouTube quite a lot, though I know I'm not very active, heh. I definitely need to upload more. Anyways, doing YouTube is fun, and I'll probably continue doing it for a long time.
