Picking up poop can be a stinky job, but not doing it can have its consequences. “It’s too much work,” “it’s only in my yard”, “the poop will break down on it’s own”, “my dog is small” are common reasons why people don’t pick up the pet waste. Both humans and canines can acquire certain diseases from dog poop. In humans, diseases transmitted between species are known as zoonoses.
Roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms are commonly known gastrointestinal parasites that shed eggs in dog feces. Human activities such as gardening, walking barefoot in the yard, or playing sports increase the risk of encountering those parasite eggs and subsequent larvae.
Young children with less than stellar hygiene often go right from the sandbox to the lunchbox, where microscopic eggs can be consumed along with soil on the hands resulting in those diseases from dog poop.

How will I be billed?
Upon signing up for service you are required to have a credit card on file. Your first payment is due once the initial clean up is complete along with the remainder of that month’s services. Invoices will be rendered and charged to the customer by the first of the month. Payment past 10 days will be subject to a late fee of $10.00. Williams Scoop Troop, reserves the right to suspend service when payments become more than 10 days past due.
What happens on holidays?
If your scheduled service day falls on an observed holiday (these are dates that are generally observed by Federal employees), we will not provide service on that date. Your service will continue the following scheduled service day. We do not credit weeks skipped as we expect to pick up twice the amount of waste the following week which forces our yard techs to take longer than usual. We’re aware that this can be a frustration for some as it is also frustrating for us as well. Our techs would prefer to continue their weekly routine as normal. However inclement weather is something we have no control over and the safety of our staff is important to us.
Do I have to sign any type of service contract?
Yes, A service agreement will need to be signed before we can begin which outlines the services we provide and expectations for each service.
Will you service my yard during all types of weather?
As you can imagine winter brings on many challenges for your dog(s) and their normal routine. Same applies with us as your pooper scooper.
We scoop your dog’s poop in all weather – winter, spring, summer and fall. In the case of extreme weather (I.e., heavy precipitation, snow, freezing rain, ice, etc.) that may cause potentially threatening situations to our staff, we may need to skip your service day.
