01. WHO I AM
I am William Gómez, a professional football coach and former player, with over ten seasons of coaching experience.
My career has taken me through different environments in Spanish and international football, including experiences in Scotland and Sierra Leone, as well as opportunities to learn first-hand at clubs such as FC Barcelona, Villarreal CF and Real Sociedad.
My professional journey has been shaped by a clear playing identity, player development and a commitment to collective performance.
02. HOW I WORK
My approach to coaching starts with understanding each player, the team's circumstances and what is needed to improve performance.
I believe in proactive football with a recognisable playing identity, where collective organisation allows players to read the game, make decisions and express their talent.
I analyse, plan and train using realistic match situations. When joining a club, I listen, identify priorities and develop solutions tailored to the squad, addressing both the tactical aspects and the confidence and mentality of the group.
03. WHAT I CAN BRING TO A CLUB
I bring a clear yet adaptable playing identity, the ability to identify what a team needs and turn that analysis into practical solutions on the pitch.
My approach combines tactical organisation, individual and collective development, leadership and dressing-room management. I aim to build competitive teams with players who understand the game, play with confidence and make intelligent decisions.
Every club has its own circumstances. My priority is to build on what already works, improve the aspects that limit performance and, alongside the coaching staff and players, develop a recognisable, ambitious team.
