Introduction

Community has always been an important part of my life. Growing up in a small suburb outside of Charlotte, NC, its close-knit and diverse nature has heavily influenced the way that I perceive both community and change within. As a new transplant in Denver, I hope to bring the values and lessons I learned in my community in NC to any and all community work I am a part of in the future.

I am currently a First-Year Bachelor's Degree Student at the University of Denver with a double major in International Studies and Public Policy.

As a Student Scholar I worked on the Youth Organizing project at the University of Denver Center for Community Engagement to advance Scholarship and Learning (CCESL). I worked with students at Dr. Martin Luther King Early College to assist and facilitate their engagement in community organizing at their school to create a safe space for students and improve access to mental health adjacent resources at their school.

DUSC Board Member (2022 - Present)

As a Board Member for the University of Denver Service and Change (DUSC) student organization, I endeavored to create and participate in volunteering opporutnities for DU students both on and off campus. These opportunities included on-campus volunteering hours, serving at the Denver Rescue Mission, and more.
