According to the August 7, 1974 Baltimore Sun the unidentified body of a young man who apparently had been shot to death was discovered by police early yesterday on a service road 200 feet west of the 3800 block of Chesholme Street in Leakin Park (I suspect this would have been the old Gwynns Falls Parkway). The man, who is black, believed to be about 17 or 18 years old had a bullet wound in his forehead to the right of center, and the large amount of blood nearby led the police to believe the murder took place there. The man was wearing a pair of light bronw pants and brown bedroom slippers and clutching a blue windbreaker in his right hand. Police said he apparently was shot at close range because powder burns were visible on his face.
I contacted the Cold Case Unit of the Baltimore Police Department and found the mans name was William Emerson Dorsey who was 17 years old at the time of his murder.
