Hey folks:D Welcome! Not sure why I made this but it's so much fun!
B.Sc., Food & Resource Economics, University of British Columbia, '24
M.A., Economics, University of British Columbia, '25
Born and raised in Shenzhen, China, I grew up speaking Teochew, Cantonese, and Mandarin. I completed high school at Shenzhen (Nanshan) Concord College of Sino-Canada, where I took 9 APs, and got my start in education in 2019 as an IELTS Teaching Assistant at Seg (Shenzhen) Training Centre.
In 2020, I began my journey at the University of British Columnbia (UBC) through the Land One Program and later majored in Food and Resource Economics. My academic path has been anything but narrow—I’ve taken courses in econometrics, causal inference, finance, accounting, international trade, environmental economics, and even remote sensing.
Since 2022, I’ve been working as an Academic Assistant and Teaching Assistant (TA) for Economics and Statistics courses at UBC, helping over 380 students across multiple disciplines. My passion for education also led me to tutor university and K–12 students across Canada and China, collaborating with 10 institutions.
Currently, I’m pursuing my Master of Arts in Economics at the Vancouver School of Economics at UBC while continuing my work as a TA. My interests lie in applying economic insights to real-world challenges—whether in the public or private sector.
