This project was about developing a set of criteria for evaluating businesses that are suitable for low-income youth in rural areas to start-up and run. Through the model I was able to come with an evaluation criteria for evaluating most viable business and through the help of Profitability Model I was able to know when the business should break-even (# of days / weeks from start and How much profit the business will make on a monthly basis after breaking even against the amount of start-up capital, fixed costs, and variable costs needed to run the business and laid down business assumption. Further providing additional questions for testing the business if it is viable and use the information gathered to refine the profitability model.
The dashboard gives details on the project delivery milestones and performance over 4 years period from 2019 to 2021. Where a total of 124 projects were delivered over the years. The projects were delivered in West Africa, Asia, East and Central Africa, Latin America and Caribbean, Eurasia and North Africa, Southern Eastern Africa. The Beneficiary reach rate was 37.17% and total number of project approaches used was 21. Therefore through the dashboard the stakeholders were able to make data driven decisions based on the insights, patterns and trends exhibited.
