Young, Black & Lit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located here in Evanston that is committed to increasing access to children’s books that center, reflect, and affirm Black children by providing free books to youth in pre-K through 8th grade. Each year, YBL provides free books to 400 D65 students through their Lit Year Program. Learn more here!
Books & Breakfast is a before-school program offering a nutritious breakfast and homework assistance to Evanston students in need of additional support. B&B exists so that every student enters their classroom physically, emotionally, and academically prepared.Â
The Evanston School Children's Clothing Association provides new and gently used winter clothing, shoes, and boots at no cost to D65 students in need. ESCCA relies on volunteers each year to help families "shop" at the ESCCA store at JEH. Learn more here.
