Welcome
On behalf of our family, we thank you for visiting this online memorial to the man we called dad. As an avid reader, Elder Wilkins loved to research and study a wide range of topics. One of his most notable traits was the skill of explaining "big brain" topics in laymen's terms. Growing up, books around the home were commonplace, and were influential in our education.
Evangelism and Outreach
His life was punctuated with service, kindness and humility. His mission in life was to advance the Great Commission; to go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:19) His unwavering spirit inclined him to always speak the truth regardless of the outcome. It was this stance that enabled those around him to respect him, even if they didn't always agree with his perspective.
His prayers for others were forthcoming and sincere. This was just who he was. Most notably, we remember him praying for the salvation of those who did not yet know God and asking God to "hear our prayer" and "keep us, for we can't keep ourselves."
A Free Gift
Elder Wilkins told mom that when he passes, he would like the attendees of his funeral to get a copy of The Great Controversy. We added 2 more books that we knew he liked to read. Below you will find the book covers for The Great Controversy, The Desire of Ages and Steps to Christ. These are gifts that we know that our father would have wanted you to have.
