All of our seedlings are grown organically and are heirlooms (meaning you can save the seeds and plant them again next year!).

We are a small household and only grow so many each year. All plants are first-come, first-serve.

Tomato Varieties

Paste Tomatoes

Amish Paste

produce sweet, juicy fruits with a full, rich flavor that doesn't cook away. The plum-shaped fruits average 8-12-ounces and have very few seeds. This heirloom tomato is thought to have originated in the late 1800's with the Amish people in Wisconsin.

Speckled Roman

With beautiful yellow streaking on red fruits, Speckled Roman is the result of a stabilized cross between Banana Legs and Roman Candle. It boasts the typical shape of tomatoes in the "paste" category, long and slender like a horn pepper. Like other good processing tomatoes, Speckled Roman has a great, tangy tomato flavor, is on the drier side, quite meaty, with few seeds.

Supremo

Supremo produces a dependable mid-season crop of impressively large, uniform tomatoes that set well even in heat. You'll have loads of tomatoes to make sauce or paste, chop for salads or salsas, or slice for sandwiches. In areas with a long growing season, a successive planting will double your harvest! Supremo tomatoes also have excellent disease resistance.

Tomatoes

Pineapple *Wiley family Favorite*

Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces large, slightly flattened, yellow beefsteak tomatoes with a red blushing and streaks on the outside. It's yellow interior contains few seeds and a red star-burst in the center. Taste is wonderfully mild with tropical fruity-sweet flavors. Great old-fashioned full , complex flavors. A good choice for slicing into sandwiches or salads.

Green Zebra

Green-striped salad specialty. A delicious, tangy salad tomato, ripe just as the green fruit develops a yellow blush, accentuating the darker green stripes. The 3–4 oz. fruits are the ideal size for slicing into wedges for salads. Productive over a long season.

Cherokee Purple

Heirloom from Tennessee cultivated by Native American Cherokee tribe. Very productive plants producing loads of dusky rose to purple colored, 12 oz.-1 lb., beefsteak tomatoes with deep red colors to the interior flesh and dark shoulders. A very popular market variety because of it's rich, complex and sweet flavors. One of the best tasting heirloom tomatoes.

Caro Rich

Regular leaf plant with prolific yields of 10-12 oz., round, deep orange-gold fruit that contains extremely high content of beta-carotene. A low acid tomato. And very good sweet fruity flavors. An excellent salad tomato.

Mortgage Lifter

A classic old-time, heirloom tomato. A red strain of the Radiator Charlie's Mortgage Lifter that has become one of America's favorites. Produce large, indeterminate, regular-leaf, tomato plants produce good crops of 1-2 pound, slightly ribbed, meaty, red, beefsteak tomatoes with the perfectly rich, sweet, bold, old-fashioned tomato flavors. An ideal sandwich tomato.

Old German

A hearty large heirloom with beautiful color on the outside and exceptionally sweet, yellow flesh with few seeds on the inside! Low in seeds and high in flavor!

Peach *Wiley Family Favorite*

This is a true garden oddity; the fruit is perfectly peachy in color, with even a lightly fuzzy skin to match! A delicious reminder of the whimsy and fun of heirloom gardening, this imitation peach is nutritious and has splendid sweet flavor! Its fantastic flavor and gorgeous looks make it a favorite! The fruit ranges in size from golf ball to tennis ball, with peach color, and fuzzy skin!

Black Krim

A juicy, unique tomato, the Black Krim is a favorite of many chefs. A medium sized tomato with a dark maroon color and wonderfully rich flavor.

Big Rainbow

Large, beautiful slicing tomato. Delicious and sweet, Big Rainbows are striking when sliced. A very tasty beefsteak tomato.

Brandywine Pink

Though they are harvested a bit late, they are definitely worth the wait. A pink-red beefsteak, the Brandywine Pink tomato can be used in many different ways. It can be eaten fresh, canned, cooked, and more.

Hungarian Oxheart

The Hungarian ox-heart tomato is a heart-shaped, crimson, large, excellent-tasting, fleshy, thin-skinned tomato.. It has very strong growth, constantly growing, medium ripening.

Delicious

Seeds gifted from our neighbor, Ted. He says these ones are delicious.

Pink Berkely Tie Dye (Flo)

As delectable as she is breathtaking, the shimmering silver-green stripes on Organic Berkeley Pink Tie-Dye Tomato truly live up to her name. A large slicing tomato, we’re often surprised how early she begins to ripen her 8 to 12-ounce fruits. We affectionately call these "Flo" (short for Florida) as our grandparents drove us back a plant when they were there for treatment.

Silvery Fir Tree

Unique because of it's thin, fern-like leaves, it produces a red beefsteak tomato. Heirloom tomato from Russia.

Cherry Tomatoes

Black Cherry *Wiley Family Favorite*

Tomato seeds produce hardy, vigorous vines loaded with gorgeous purple to mahogany brown cherry tomatoes 2.5 cm (1") round. Rich, juicy cherry tomatoes with wonderfully complex, sweet flavour and firm texture. Fruits are ripe when they turn olive/eggplant in colour and they pop readily off the stem with a roll of the fingers.

Isis Cherry *Wiley Family Favorite*

Beautiful fruits marbled with red! Tomatoes range in size from a thumbtip up to the size of a golf ball, and can range from being round to slightly oblong in shape. Sweet and fruity. Each fruit has a spectacular cat s eye starburst on the blossom end. Plants are loaded with 1 " fruits on short trusses in double rows of 6-8.

Indigo Blue

Delightfully delectable, little, 1–2 ounce, cherry tomatoes. Taste testers blissfully describe the flavor as sparkling. The green fruit quickly develop purple tops and crimson bottoms, ripening to a beautiful midnight black tone with deep, maroon-colored bottoms. For the best flavor and texture, harvest when the colors have deepened and the fruit is soft to the touch.

Dark Galaxy

Unique coloring, with a red, green, and purple shades with golden speckles. Medium sized, matures later, and has a sweet, fresh taste. Maybe not quite a cherry tomato.

Raspberry Drop

Dark pink, sweet cherry tomatoes, very hardy, said to have a candy-like taste. Matures moderately early. Grows on a vine.

Red Pear

Hardy, medium-sized plants yield plenty of small, red, pear-shaped fruits with very few seeds. Plants are very prolific and are producers of 1-2" long tomatoes that are great on salads, sauces or roasted in the oven.

SOLD OUT - Ground Cherry

Also known as the husk tomato. A treat fresh off the ground or baked in a pie. A sweet and tropical flavor.

Yellow Pear *Wiley Family Favorite*

This pear shaped, golden yellow tomato is tasty in salads and snacks. The tiny tomatoes are borne in clusters. This is one of the prettiest tomatoes in the garden -- it's beautiful in salads! This variety is known to bear fruit dependably through summer weather. Vines can grow 8 feet or longer, so give them a tall support or place to ramble.

Black Strawberry

This was new to us in 2022 from Baker Creek Seeds. This 1-ounce fruit is marbled in blue, scarlet and gold. A bowl full resembles a luminous and luxurious bunch of gems, and indeed the flavor is decadent and indulgent, with perfectly sweet and tart balanced flavor!

Orange Cherry

Sweet orange cherry tomato. We had a scrumptious heirloom salad in WI summer 2021 and just had to save the seeds of this tomato. It was amazing in color, flavor and smell. We are excited to add this to our seed collection.

Jaune Flamme

The Jaune Flamme is a small round tomato, roughly the size of a golf ball, weighing an average of three ounces. It has thick yellowish-orange skin, with a rich and meaty interior flesh that is mottled with red streaks. Its flavor is citrusy and fruity when raw, and is further intensified when the tomato is roasted or slowly dried.

Rapunzel

Produces flavorful, red cherry tomatoes on cascading vines of up to 40 fruits. In addition to thriving in a traditional vegetable garden bed, this variety grows well in large patio containers or in upside-down Tomato planters. Eat fresh for a delicious and nutritious snack.

White Cherry

Appealing, pale yellow cherry tomatoes average 15-20 gm. and have a good, mild taste. Plants are compact and easy to pick. Sweet fruity flavor.

Pepper Varieties

Sweet Peppers

SOLD OUT - Banana

Beautiful long yellow pepper. Sweet Banana Peppers produce elongated, 6-in. fruits that start yellow and turn scarlet red when fully ripe. The sweet, mild, waxy, thin-walled peppers are delightful in salads and for eating off the plant. The peppers have no bitter after taste. An early, very prolific Hungarian yellow wax pepper, it grows best in full sun and rich, well-drained soil.

California Wonder - not many left

Standard bell pepper. Prefers full sun. Thick green walls ripen to red. Can be used at green or red stage of maturity. Sweet, high yielding and drought tolerant. One of the oldest and largest heirloom bell pepper available. First introduced by California growers around 1928.

King of the North Bell Pepper - not many left

Large, quick maturing sweet bell peppers, turning from green to red. Does well in northern climates. Thick flesh and terrific flavor. Likes full sun.

Chocolate Bell

A chocolate colored pepper that ripens earlier. Very sweet and pretty brown outside with red inside when ripened.

Mad Hatter Snacking Pepper

We found this treat at Sheyenne Gardens in Harwood. Pepper with winged lobes that form a flattened disc shape. It has a crisp and crunchy texture and a lightly sweet, fruity flavor. Use in either green or red stage; they are perfect for snacking, salsa, pickling, and stuffing. Flavor intensifies as the fruit ripens, and we find the center produces a hint of heat during height of summer, but the outer lobes remain sweet.

Hot Peppers

SOLD OUT - Cherry Bomb

These peppers are around 5 cm almost perfectly round peppers that mature from green to red quickly. A hybrid chili with thick walls and moderately hot spice. Cherry bombs are very flavorful and bear lots of fruit.

SOLD OUT - Trinidad Scorpion

Very hot pepper with a bright red color. Very similar looking to Carolina Reapers.

SOLD OUT - Hot Lemon

A citrus-y, lemon flavored pepper that is a popular seasoning in Peru. The hot lemon pepper is a cone pepper that is around 6 cm long.

Chile/Cayenne

Very hot, slender, red peppers that are commonly dried and used as spice.

SOLD OUT - Thai Chile

Spicy chiles with a wide range for heat. Known for spice and unique flavor, commonly used in Thai cuisine. Look a lot like cayenne peppers, but have a different flavor and spice level.

SOLD OUT - Jalapeno

A medium-sized chili pepper. Mature jalapenos are 5-10 cm long. A very popular hot pepper, though as it turns redder, it becomes sweeter.

SOLD OUT - Carolina Reaper

Believed to be the hottest pepper in the world, the Carolina Reaper is a serious scorcher! These devious little peppers are fiery red with a little scythe shaped tail at the base of many fruit, hence the name reaper.

SOLD OUT - Habanero

Unripe habaneros are green, they get more colorful as they mature. Typically, a ripe habanero is 2–6 cm long.

SOLD OUT - Armageddon Pepper

A super hot chile measuring 1.2 million scovilles. They ripen earlier than other peppers by about two weeks, and are smaller sized, generally comparable to Carolina Reapers.

SOLD OUT - Ghost Pepper

The ghost pepper is one of the world's hottest peppers. It starts growing slowly, but eventually gets very tall. A thin-walled, wrinkled fruit that ripens to red, it reaches 2-3 inches in length.

SOLD OUT - Barrackpore Chile

Intense heat, nice flavor, and larger production are some main factors of this pepper. It is among the hottest peppers in the world.

Herbs

Italian Basil

A common herb, Italian (or Genovese) basil is used in many things including pesto, sauces, salads, and more.

SOLD OUT - Rosemary

An evergreen-like shrub herb with fragrant leaves and white or purple flowers. Used as seasoning, in foods, and, in some cases, medicine.

SOLD OUT - Oregano

A lovely and delicious herb with lots of medicinal uses, oregano can be enjoyed fresh or dried. Also used in many Italian dishes.

SOLD OUT - Thyme

Thyme is an herb with a distinct smell and is commonly used in foods and medicines.

SOLD OUT - Lavender

A dense herb plant with soft, aromatic leaves and pretty purple flowers.

SOLD OUT - Dill

Dill is grown all over, and the leaves are commonly used as a spice to add flavor to food. A lovely herb with ferny green foliage and yellow flowers.

Pumpkin on a Stick

It may look like a pumpkin or a tomato, but it is actually an ornamental eggplant. Pumpkin on a Stick is decorative, and is not meant to be eaten, though they are very fun to look at. The stem is woody and strong, so you will want to stake it. The plant also has thorns, which is a giveaway that it's an eggplant.

Our Story

Wiley Girls Plant Fundraiser for the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo-Moorhead

Our family has been growing heirloom plants for years. We save seeds from our garden and start them as seedlings the next spring. When young children help sow seeds, one gets many more plants than needed. In 2014, 11-year-old Dayna decided to help raise the extras and sell them to support a local non-profit. Dayna raised just over $400 that year (2014) and chose to donate all of it to the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo-Moorhead. In 2015 we topped $430 and in 2016 we raised over $1200! 2016 Forum news article

Since then we've continued to raise approximately $1000 each year. 2025 is our 11th year!! All for the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo-Moorhead. We believe it has been a great help to those in need, and we could not have done it without the support of our friends, family and community.
