Annual Giving Event 2024

$2115 raised to help address Hunger in Wake County 

Carolina Cares in need of volunteers and donations, especially during the holiday season

- Nov 26 - Food Pantry Pop-Up at Trophy Brewing from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM. We could use volunteers for the event or donations of canned proteins for 60 boxes. 

- Nov 27/28 - Thanksgiving Sponsorship in which we pair up sponsors to purchase groceries or meals online and have them delivered to a family in need. The Carolina Cares already has over 100 families seeking  Sponsorship and, if there is enough interest, we can coordinate with WWG to match up several families. 

- Dec 14 - Holiday Toy Drive at Method Road Park from 10:30 AM-1:00 PM. There are a few ways to get involved with this event: 

• Sponsor a family directly who will post their request to our Facebook community. If there is enough interest, we can coordinate direct sponsorship centrally as well to match your community members with families in need. 

• Volunteer with us on the 14th, guiding families to select toys and coats

• Donate cash, coats or toys

- Mar/Apr 2025 - We are planning a Closet & Homegoods Yardsale. We could take any gently used items the WWG community members no longer want or need and sell them at a yard sale to raise money. Any unsold items would then be donated within our community.
