Wildwood Secondary doesn't look or feel like most middle school experiences. Instead of a rigid separation of subjects and several transitions each day, we teach subjects as if they are tools that should be used together to solve real-world problems. Students move through an engaging 2-year curriculum, but with freedom to explore their interests more deeply, and as a member of a community. Everyday, time is spent outside: observing, experimenting, reflecting, and absorbing. The school day is rich in STEM experiences, project-based learning, and opportunities to hone both written and oral communication skills.
Wildwood alumni have gone on to A&M Consolidated High School, Bryan High School, Allen Academy, and College View High School. Time at Wildwood prepares students for success in high school and beyond, whatever that may look like!
Wildwood Secondary is a full-time middle school.

Testimonials:
"Wildwood is the hidden gem of BCS. My school reluctant son not only survived middle school but had an absolute blast. He was challenged in the context of a safe and supportive community and grew tremendously in not only academics but real world skills. The impact of this experience on his development will benefit him for the rest of his life." -Meredith A.

"Most kids in 7th and 8th grade are locked into chairs, affixed to computer screens, listening to lectures, and doing mindless busy work. At Wildwood, however, students are educated as they should be - through hands on experience. Students are involved in physical, practical activities that allow them to get dirty, move their bodies, take great field trips, cook, sew and garden etc. Given the small number of students at Wildwood, academic training meets or exceeds what they could get at other schools, in a fraction of the time, leaving time for experimental learning! Our son spent two of the best years of his life there! Any student lucky enough to attend will reap the same benefits." - Will H.
