Named in honor of Eugene ‘Wildman’ Brandon, a Kindergarten teacher at Travis Heights Elementary for 15 years. Beyond his passion for nurturing young minds, Eugene was a talented musician, playing drums in bands like The Ghostpeppers, Omar and the Howlers, and The Drapes.
Our vision unfolds in two phases: first, make the space more inviting and secure with cedar fencing, musical elements, nature-inspired play features, and shaded seating areas; then, bring it fully to life with grading, asphalt removal, expanded play areas, community art, and educational signage. With $75,000, we can complete Phase I — and we're already laying the groundwork for Phase II, which will take more time, permitting, and engineering support to bring to life.
