Naomi joined the National Wildlife Federation in Missoula in 2017 and is the Montana Education Manager as well as the Montana Project WET Coordinator. Her passion lies in communicating with the public about our state’s wildlife and the habitat we all share. She graduated from University of Montana’s Wildlife Biology program and has been involved in environmental education, both in and out of the classroom, with state agencies, conservation districts, and non-profit organizations in Nebraska and Washington before returning to Montana.
Naomi created the high school education unit to accompany the already existing WildlifeXing app and program.
The National Wildlife Federation’s goal to protect our wildlife and build upon our conservation heritage blends well with her work with the Garden for Wildlife program, Eco-Schools USA, and the WildlifeXing Program. Having worked both in and out of the classroom she enjoys sharing her love for wildlife with kids and adults throughout Montana. She is an avid gardener, an ever-improving hunter, and an amateur thespian.
Morgan is the North-Central and Eastern Montana Field Representative for Montana Wildlife Federation (MWF), and has a unique position where her work encompasses shared priorities for both National Wildlife Federation and MWF. She has experience with grassroots organizing, volunteer coordination, promoting and creating equitable spaces, and conflict resolution. Creating safe spaces for connections to be fostered and strengthened, and for dialogue to be shared between people in the conservation space is her ultimate goal.
Morgan has worked in the non-profit sector, with multiple AmeriCorps programs and with the U.S. Peace Corps, within the private sector as a consultant, and with Montana state government. Morgan is a hunter and angler, and loves getting outside with her family.
